The Cowboys get a significant boost in this one with the return of running back Ezekiel Elliott – and they have momentum on their side as the ride a three-game winning streak into AT&T Stadium.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Dallas is a comfortable favourite after resuscitating its postseason hopes following an ugly three-game losing skid during which it scored just 22 total points. But the Cowboys don’t have it easy, with games against Seattle and Philadelphia to close out the season; Dallas has covered just once in its last six games against teams with winning records and is 1-6 ATS in its previous seven home contests against teams with road records above .500.

Bettors are siding with the home team in this pivotal NFC matchup, with 61 percent of Sports Interaction participants taking the Cowboys. A smaller majority (57 percent) are leaning toward the over on the 47.5-point total, one of the highest of the week. Seattle is 1-4 O/U in its last five road games and has gone over just twice in its previous 10 vs. the NFC. Dallas has four straight unders following a successful cover and is 1-6 O/U in its last seven overall.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have been a decent bounce-back team – covering in nine of their last 13 following a straight-up loss – but last week’s 42-7 drubbing at the hands of the visiting Los Angeles Rams was no ordinary defeat. And while quarterback Russell Wilson is having another terrific season (3,669 yards, 30 TDs), he had just 142 passing yards last week and has a 4:3 TD:INT ratio with just 413 yards through the air over his past two games.

Dallas Cowboys

How big an impact will Elliott have on the Cowboys’ offence? Consider that the 2016 rushing champion had four 100-yard games before serving his six-game suspension – and the Cowboys produced just one 100-yard rusher in his absence. Elliott remains 16th in the league in rushing yards despite missing six games – and his return should bolster a Dallas offence that has already largely regrouped from its recent swoon, averaging 29.3 points in its past three games.
