The AFC West belongs to the Los Angeles Rams but a significant injury in San Francisco has Arizona and Seattle fans thinking about a possible playoff run.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Sports Interaction opened with the Seahawks as 3.5-point away favourites, but lowered the spread to 3 points by the middle of the week. Seattle is 2-5-1 against the spread in its last eight games against divisional foes and 1-5 ATS in its last six games coming off a straight up win.

The Seahawks are coming off a 24-13 win as 1-point faves against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. The Cardinals, meanwhile, lost 16-14 at home against the Chicago Bears but covered the spread as 5.5-point underdogs.

Arizona has scored just 20 points in its first three games this season and the Under is 13-6 in the club’s last 19 regular season games.

The total opened 37.5 on Sports Interaction’s NFL odds board and it has since moved up a point to 38.5. The Under is 14-3 in the Seahawks last 17 games against NFC opponents.

Seattle Seahawks

Many of the names have changed, but Seattle’s defence is proving up to head coach Pete Carroll’s high standard. The Seahawks are tied atop the league in interceptions (7) and are second in total takeaways (8).

All-Pro safety Earl Thomas was responsible for two of those picks against Dallas. Thomas was reluctant to report to training camp without a new contract, but the defensive back isn’t letting the negotiation impact his play on the field.

Top receiver Doug Baldwin practiced this week for the first time since spraining his MCL in Seattle’s season-opening game. Baldwin has 247 catches for 3188 receiving yards and 29 TD grabs over the last three seasons for the Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals

Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Sam Darnold have all won their teams a game. Will Josh Rosen become the latest rookie quarterback to lead his club to an upset win? Arizona sits last in the NFL in every offensive category including total points and yards.

But the Cards still have some dangerous offensive weapons. Running back David Johnson has soft hands and is a great option as a security blanket in the passing game while veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald is still finding ways to get open now operating in the slot.
