Which team bounces back faster from a heart breaking loss? It will all be answered on Monday night.

Odds makers have penciled in the home side Bears as -3.5 point favourites in this game.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These two teams last met in 2015 (September 27) with the Seahawks blanking the Bears 26-0. The numbers point to the Bears in this one, as they are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 home games, and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games played on Monday night. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have struggled in the first month of the season, with a 0-3-1 ATS record in their last four games in September, and 0-4 ATS in their last four week two games.

Seattle Seahawks

The 27-24 Broncos win was a compliment to the Seattle Seahawks last weekend, because there is a laundry list of mistakes and concerns for the football club. First off, the offensive line had all sorts of problems protecting the team’s number one asset, Russell Wilson. Wilson was sacked six times in the game, and only managed to rush for five total yards. The Seahawks as a team rushed for only 64 yards in the game, led by Chris Carson with 51 yards. The Seahawks had only 13 first downs for the entire game, and were 2 for 12 in converting on 3rd downs.

Maybe the biggest disappointment, it appears that all-pro receiver Doug Baldwin with be out of the lineup for an indefinite period of time with a grade two strain of his right knee. Of note, tight end Will Dissly was targeted five times, caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown in his first professional game.

Chicago Bears

It was a tale of two halves for the Bears this past Sunday night. In the first half, there were new wrinkles to the offence, timely runs, accurate passing, and shut down defence that saw the team leading 17-0 at the break. In the second half, and in particular the fourth quarter, we saw the Packers light the Bears up for 21 points to get the victory. The club can take a lot of positives out of the loss. Mitchell Trubisky played well at times in only his 13th career start.

The Bears ran the ball with authority for 139 yards, led by Jordan Howard with 82 of those yards. Khalil Mack was a breath of fresh air to a defence that was ranked 10th in total defence last season. The newly acquired Mack was impressive in spot duty, recording two tackles, one sack, one forced fumbled and intercepted a ball for touchdown. His time on the field will increase as he learns the playbook – that isn’t good news for the Seattle Seahawks.
