Both teams are coming off Week 9 wins with the Ravens downing the Colts 24-10 in Indianapolis and the Patriots squeaking out a 30-27 decision in New York against the winless Jets. Baltimore comes into this game as 7.5-point favourites on the NFL odds with a total of 44.

NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Ravens are 4-1-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games in New England, while the under is 6-1 in their last seven games against AFC opponents. The Patriots are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win and the over is 4-0 in their last four games as a home underdog.

In the only matchup between these teams last season, Baltimore came out with a 37-20 home win, with Lamar Jackson throwing for 163 yards and a TD and rushing for 61 yards and two TDs. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these teams and the road team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine games.

Baltimore Ravens

Statistically, it was a bit of an odd game for Lamar Jackson against the Colts. He was 19-for-23 passing with no interceptions, but only threw for 170 yards and no TDs. Jackson did, however, lead the team in rushing with 58 yards and a TD. Baltimore has one of the best rushing offences in the league, averaging 5.1 yards per carry (3rd in the NFL) and a league-best 170.1 yards per game.

The Ravens defence has been aggressively suffocating quarterbacks, this season. Baltimore’s 24 sacks is tied for 6th in the league, while their 43.4 per cent blitz rate is the highest in the NFL. The defence is also holding other teams to an average of 6.4 passing yards per attempt, 2nd best in league.

New England Patriots

Like Jackson, Cam Newton also had no passing TDs or interceptions, last week, but he did finish with 274 passing yards and two rushing TDs. The Patriots spread the ball around against the Jets, with Damien Harris rushing 14 times for 71 yards and Rex Burkhead rushing 12 times for 56 yards and a TD.

New England’s pass defence was poor last week, giving up three passing TDs to Joe Flacco. The Pats rush defence gives up an average of 140.4 yards per games (28th) and 4.6 yards per carry. Outside of last week, the pass defence has been better, giving up 221.9 yards per game (9th), while J.C. Jackson leads the league with five interceptions.
