Ravens vs. Chiefs Point Spread: NFL Week 14 Odds, Prediction

The Baltimore Ravens are ready to let Lamar Jackson lead the offence for a fourth week in a row – and he’ll get a good look at exactly how it’s done, as he and the Ravens visit Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Mahomes has been nothing short of amazing in his first full season at the helm, throwing for an absurd 41 touchdowns through his first 12 games while leading the Chiefs to an AFC West-leading 10-2 record.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Kansas City is a one-touchdown favourite as it looks to reverse an ugly trend that has seen it go just 1-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in its past five games after opening the season with seven consecutive covers. And things don’t get any easier this weekend, with Baltimore having gone 5-2 ATS in its past seven games as a road underdog of six or more points. But the Ravens have failed to cover in each of their past four contests against teams above .500.

Oddsmakers respect the Kansas City offence enough to make this total one of the highest of the week despite the Chiefs hosting a Ravens team that has converted the under in seven of their past 10 games. Kansas City has three overs and one push in its past five games, but has finished below the number in seven of nine against teams with winning records. The Ravens have allowed a league-low 214 points, while the Chiefs have scored an NFL-high 444.

Baltimore Ravens

Jackson has electrified the Baltimore offence since taking over the starting role in Joe Flacco’s absence, rumbling for 265 yards and two scores on the ground while adding a passing score. But the team is concerned with Jackson’s four turnovers over that three-game span, and have worked with him in practice to ensure he takes better care of the football. Sunday could see a big game from Jackson, with the Chiefs having allowed a league-high 5.1 yards per carry.

Kansas City Chiefs

While Jackson looks to do more damage on the ground, Mahomes has absolutely smashed teams through the air – and has been at his best in recent weeks, having thrown for 773 yards and 10 touchdowns over his past two games. But Sunday’s encounter should represent one of his stiffest challenges to date, with the Ravens coming in ranked second in the NFL in passing yards allowed (2,333) and tied for third in passing touchdowns against (16).
