Ravens vs. Buccaneers Point Spread: NFL Pre-Season Week 3 Odds, Prediction
The final pre-season action for both the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is set for Saturday. It’ll be each team’s final opportunity to see what their depth charts look like before the regular season begins. For the Ravens, they just saw their 24-game pre-season winning streak get snapped by the Washington Commanders in Week 2. They’ll look to get back on track against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team that just pushed themselves to 1-1 with a victory over the New York Jets, thanks to a strong defensive effort.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Baltimore is normally well prepared in the pre-season with head coach John Harbaugh working to a 45-14 overall record with them. That’s the best coaching record in the pre-season and this team takes these games seriously. They have also scored over 20 points in six of their last seven exhibition games.
Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles with a pre-season record of under .500 in his career. He’s worked to a 9-14 record and the Buccaneers have lost six of their last eight pre-season matchups overall.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens saw their massive pre-season winning streak come to an end last week by the narrowest of margins. They lost on a last-second field goal by Joey Slye as the Commanders edged ahead very late in the fourth quarter. Even in a loss, the Ravens were right there.
We saw Josh Johnson throw for 145 yards and two touchdowns last week, and he will get ample playing time again in this matchup against Tampa Bay. Johnson is a seasoned veteran who has played tons of regular-season snaps. Meanwhile, Anthony Brown was six-of-10 for 40 yards, two touchdowns and a pick last week. He also led the team with 37 rushing yards.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers knocked off the Jets this weekend with a phenomenal defensive effort late in the game. That unit didn’t allow a point in three of the four quarters. Keep in mind that the Jets did not play Aaron Rodgers at all. Offensively, the Bucs could have done a little better with Kyle Trask playing under center for the majority of the game. He put together 218 yards and a touchdown, though there was a lot that needed to be cleaned up. The Buccaneers have since announced veteran Baker Mayfield as the starting quarterback for the regular season. Head coach Todd Bowles also said in the announcement that Mayfield will be splitting some time with Trask on Saturday.
