Ravens vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Week 4 Odds, Prediction
Baltimore’s most recent dramatic outing had Justin Tucker nail an NFL record 66-yard game-winning field goal, three plays after converting a fourth-and-19.
Denver’s beaten both New York teams and Jacksonville thus far and own a league-best 16.7-point average winning margin. Week 4’s the big test for the Broncos though with Baltimore.
Kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High starts at 4:25 p.m. EST.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Teddy Bridgewater winning against the spread is one of the surest things in the NFL these days. His 38-13-1 all-time ATS record (3-0 in 2021) has to be one of the best ever. In 2021, Bridgewater’s been able to win ball games too — with all three of Denver’s wins going under.
Baltimore enters Sunday on a remarkable spread record themselves, covering in 8 of their last 11. They’ve also covered in nine of their last 13 head-to-heads with the Broncos. The Ravens have been 2-1 to the over this season and have failed to cover in each of their two road games.
Sunday’s Ravens–Broncos affair is a pick’em, with the over-under at 45.
Baltimore Ravens
On one hand, Baltimore need minor miracles to beat an injured Detroit Lions squad quarterbacked by Jared Goff in Week 3. On the other hand, Jim Harbaugh’s team has found a way to close out games in back-to-back weeks after failing to do so in Week 1 at Vegas.
Harbaugh’s Ravens won a highly-emotional thriller against Kansas City in Week 2, meaning a letdown game was a possibility when travelling to Detroit. Thanks to Tucker and Lamar Jackson, Baltimore still escaped with a 19-17 dub while recording 387 yards to Detroit’s 285.
Baltimore’s yet again the NFL’s best rushing team, averaging a league-best 185.3 yards on the ground per game off a league-best 5.7 yards an attempt. Jackson, at quarterback, is fourth in the NFL with 251 rushing yards.
Denver Broncos
Efficiency’s the name of the game for the Broncos. Bridgewater’s 77.8 QBR is third among quarterbacks this season, while a 76.8 completion percentage ranks second. On the other side of the ball, Vic Fangio’s wounded defence has held opponents to 221.7 yards per outing which is second in the NFL too.
Starters Ronald Darby, Bradley Chubb, and Josey Jewell remain out on defence. On the other side of the ball it was receiver K.J. Hamler getting some horrible news as he’s going to miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. With Hamler out, expect Tim Patrick to step up. Patrick’s got 174 receiving yards and two scores this year.
