Monday Night Football Point Spread and Betting Analysis

If the NFC playoffs started today, Arizona (10-2) would be the top seed and earn the lone first-round bye. So if the Cards win out, it’s theirs. If they win this game, they are going to win the NFC West as well because they are up two games on the Rams (8-4) and beat them 37-20 in Los Angeles in Week 4.

Kyler Murray threw for 268 yards and two scores and James Conner rushed for two. Arizona totaled 216 yards and two scores on the ground against what is supposed to be one of the NFL’s top defences. Matthew Stafford threw for 280 yards, two TDs and a pick. Both teams topped 400 yards offence, but the Rams turned it over twice and Cardinals zero. Arizona also dominated time of possession.

The favorite is 8-1-1 against the spread in the past 10 meetings.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday but I’m not sure they fixed things, they simply crushed a bad Jacksonville team 37-7. Matthew Stafford threw for 295 yards and three scores. While he’s not going to win NFL MVP, Rams wideout Cooper Kupp might win NFL Offensive Player of the Year. He had eight catches for 129 yards and a TD and leads the NFL in receptions (100), yards (1,365) and TD catches (11). He is the fourth player in history with at least 100 catches in the first 12 games of a season and the only player with at least 100 receptions and 10-or-more touchdown receptions in his team’s first 12 games.

No. 1 running back Darrell Henderson was active but didn’t play due to a thigh injury and Sony Michel carried 24 times for 121 yards and a TD. He’ll be a popular fantasy pickup this week. The Rams are 0-7 ATS in their past seven following a win of at least 14 points.

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona’s Week 12 bye came at a great time because it allowed star QB Kyler Murray and Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins to heal up. They both returned after missing three games Sunday in a 33-22 win in Chicago. Murray threw for two scores and rushed for two. Murray became the fourth-youngest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 yards passing. He now has 13 career games with both a passing and rushing TD since entering the NFL in 2019, tied with the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott for the third-most such games by a quarterback in his first three seasons all-time. Hopkins caught a TD pass. The defence had four interceptions.

Arizona is unbeaten on the road and has won every game by double digits, so maybe it’s a bad thing this game is at home? The Cards are the third team ever to win seven consecutive road games within a single season, each by a least 10 points. Arizona is 4-0 ATS in its past four vs. the NFC West.
