Rams vs. Cardinals Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction

The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals are both fresh off of disappointing losses. The Rams blew a divisional game against the injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers while the Arizona Cardinals blew a 10-0 lead in New England, falling to Cam Newton and the Patriots. The Rams now take the trip to Arizona to face off against the Cardinals as both teams look to get back on track.

NFL Week 13 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The under is 4-0 in the Rams past four games when coming off an ATS loss in the game prior and 7-1 in their last eight games overall. To make the under even more enticing, it is 6-1 in their last seven games against NFC opponents. Los Angeles is 9-1 ATS in their past 10 matchups following an ATS loss in the game prior and 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games when they are coming off a straight up loss.

For the Cardinals, the over is 4-0 in their past four games after they allow less than 150 passing yards in the previous game but the under is 6-1 in their last seven games against NFC opponents. Arizona is also 5-1-1 ATS in their past seven games when coming in as the underdog in the matchup and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five matchups against NFC West opponents.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are coming off another surprising loss and it seems to be a trend with them. They’ve now had three separate two-game winning streaks this season which have been followed up with a loss. The common theme? Turnovers. They have 11 in the four losses and just eight in their seven wins. That’ll be the key to Sunday’s affair as well.

To help out Jared Goff, the Rams have to lean on their three-running back committee featuring Darrell Henderson, Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown. If they deliver as well as the defense, which is currently the second-ranked defense in the league at the moment, they should find a way to a win. The Cardinals offense is struggling right now with a total of just 38 points in the last two weeks.

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona continues to be wildly inconsistent. They have beaten numerous good teams and yet lost games that they should seemingly should have won. The duo of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins make this offense dangerous every single week but they didn’t make much of a noise last week in New England. The Cardinals blew a 10-0 lead and lost to a team that had less than 100 passing yards. They need to find a way to be more consistent – especially in scoring points. They got stuffed on the goal line to end the half last week and missed a field goal that would have meant the Patriots tied the game at the end rather than won it. If they Cardinals want to be viewed as an upper-echelon offense, they can’t flop like that.

On the other side of the ball, their defense is going to have to be prepared and ready to play – especially their secondary. They are going to have their hands full trying to deal with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. These two teams will meet twice down the stretch with the second matchup coming in Week 17. The winner likely goes to the playoffs while the loser is likely to miss out.
