Rams vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction
The Rams are the largest road favourites on the Sports Interaction NFL betting board for a second straight week but injuries are starting to chip away at their talent-rich roster.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Denver opened up as a touchdown underdog and that’s where the line stands midweek at Sports Interaction. The Broncos are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four home games and 6-19-2 ATS in their last 27 games overall. The club is coming off an ugly 18-point loss at the MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets.
The Rams are fresh off a narrow victory at Seattle but are riding a two-game ATS losing skid. Los Angles hasn’t covered the spread since Week 3 when they downed the Chargers 35-33. Sean McVay’s group has been favoured by 6.5 or more points in every game this season.
Sports Interaction opened this game’s Over/Under line at 52.5 and 60 percent of SIA bettors like this game to go Under the posted total. The Over is 8-2 in the Rams’ last 10 road games and 8-3 in their last 11 games overall.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams – along with the Kansas City Chiefs – remain the only undefeated teams in the NFL entering Week 6. But there are trouble areas brewing for Los Angeles. The Rams are already down their top cornerback (Aqib Talib), and now there’s a chance they’ll have to make do without two of their top three receivers.
Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp were both forced to sit out the second half against the Seahawks last weekend because of concussion-like symptoms. The receiver duo account for 890 of the team’s 1727 receiving yards and six of LA’s 12 TD catches this season.
Denver Broncos
There have been more questions than answers at the quarterback position in Denver since Peyton Manning retired. But the Broncos could always rest their hats on the defensive side of the ball. Von Miller and the rest of the stopper unit could keep Denver in games with little help from their offensive teammates.
That might not be the case any longer. The New York Jets ran for 323 yards on the ground and, if Denver had trouble slowing down Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell, Rams running back Todd Gurley must be licking his lips in anticipation of this weekend’s game. Gurley leads all NFL players with nine combined rushing and receiving touchdowns this campaign.
