The Baltimore Ravens have yet to confirm their starting quarterback for Week 12. Considering their next opponent, it might not matter who they start. Flacco, who is dealing with an injured hip, could get the start after sitting out last week. The Raiders have been absolutely awful even with a healthy starting quarterback in Derek Carr all season. Oakland has just two wins in 10 games and it could get worse for that franchise before it gets better. Here is a closer look at the matchup.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Raiders have been an absolute mess dating back to last season with just two wins in their last 14 games. Oakland is tied for the worst record in the NFL against the spread this season at 3-7. That’s still better than their 2-8 record straight up. The Raiders lone win against an AFC opponent this season was a 45-42 overtime victory against the Cleveland Browns back in Week 4.

Baltimore hasn’t been much better of late despite picking up the win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week. The Ravens have lost three of their last four overall and are just 4-6 against the spread this season. Despite their struggles, Baltimore is still listed as a double-digit favorite ahead of a must-win game versus Oakland.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders finally got back in the win column on the road against the Arizona Cardinals last week. However, Carr threw for just 192 yards and two touchdowns in the 23-21 victory as rookie quarterback Josh Rosen really struggled for Arizona. Oakland’s defence deserves credit for forcing Rosen in to two interceptions, but they will face a toughest test this week.

The Raiders offence relied heavily on the run last week with 152 rushing yards on 33 rush attempts, but will also face a stiffer challenge against the Ravens run defence. There isn’t much that has gone right for Oakland so far this season. It looks like that trend will continue this Sunday against a desperate opponent looking to keep its playoff hopes alive.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are coming off a 24-21 win over Cincinnati to improve to 5-5. Heading in to Week 12, they are currently holding down the final AFC Wild Card spot via a tiebreaker with the Bengals, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. Baltimore has a tough schedule ahead so they absolutely can’t afford to let this game get away from them. With Flacco still not 100 percent, nobody will be surprised if it’s the rookie Jackson that gets the start for the Ravens. Jackson threw for just 150 yards but added 117 rushing yards in last week’s victory. Rookie running back Gus Edwards was also instrumental with 115 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Baltimore will likely lean heavily on the run game once again this week as they attempt to control the time of possession and grind out a victory. Meanwhile, the defence will also need to step up again to keep Carr and company in check. With so much on the line at home against a poor opponent, the Ravens will add to their win streak with a comfortable victory to remain in control of the second AFC Wild Card spot.
