Patriots vs. Titans Point Spread: NFL Week 7 Odds, Prediction
This is a tale of two franchises seemingly going in opposite directions. An up-and-coming New England squad is 4-2 and leads the AFC South thanks to a head-to-head tiebreaker over Buffalo. Tennessee is 1-5 and in contention to have the No. 1 overall pick in the draft for a second year in a row.
The Titans have won three of the last four games in this head-to-head series after prevailing in overtime at home 11 months ago. Dating back to the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era, however, the Patriots are 14-7 in the last 21 meetings.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
On the NFL odds board, New England is 3-0 against the spread in its last three contests and 9-5 ATS in its last 14 dating back to last season. Tennessee, on the other hand, is a horrendous 1-4 ATS in its last five and 4-19 ATS since the start of the 2024 campaign. The Titans are also 0-2 ATS in the last two head-to-head matchups. Meanwhile, the under is 3-1 in the Patriots’ last four outings and 3-1 in the last four head-to-head.
In addition to the more traditional lines, the first-quarter spread is -1.5 in New England’s favour and the first-half spread is -3.5. On the prop-betting front, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is -150 to throw at least two touchdown passes; Titans quarterback Cam Ward is +125 to do the same.
New England Patriots
The Patriots have won three straight, including a road victory over the Bills. That result may not look quite as good following Buffalo’s poor performance at Atlanta in Week 6, but going into Orchard Park and winning is nothing to sneeze at regardless of the situation. Moreover, the Pats’ recent 42-13 blowout of the Panthers is looking quite impressive.
Look for running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson to find plenty of success on Sunday. Drake Maye has the passing game clicking, but the Patriots are still a team that wants to win by playing fundamental football – dominating on defense and running the ball effectively. That should certainly be the game script against the Titans. New England will want to jump out to a quick lead and can then work the clock with its duo of running backs.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans fired head coach Bill Callahan following last week’s 20-10 loss to the Raiders. Senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy is now the interim. Teams can sometimes galvanise around an interim head coach, but that generally happens when they still have a realistic shot to compete. This Tennessee squad, however, knows it is in a multi-year rebuilding process.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and obviously has some talent, but this is a terrible situation for him – and not just because of the coaching change. His offensive line is atrocious, part of the reason why he has already been sacked 25 times. Ward comes into this contest with more interceptions (four) than touchdown passes (three).
NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Patriots vs. Titans?
Just about the only thing the Titans have going for them is home-field advantage. However, they are 0-2 this season at Nissan Stadium and have been outscored in those games by 35 points. The coaching change is unlikely to make any difference. Let’s go with the Patriots to prevail 24-13.
