Packers vs. Lions NFL Week 7 Betting Odds, Picks: Josh Jacobs set to make season debut

Add Sports Interacton as Your Preferred News Source

Week 7 brings a rematch of last year’s playoff rivals at Ford Field and both the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions arrive in good form.

Minnesota is the lone unbeaten team left in the NFC North at 5-0, but Green Bay (4-2) and Detroit (3-2) are right behind, with all four division teams currently inside the playoff picture.

The Packers have won three straight since a 0-2 start, capped by a 23-13 defensive showcase over Dallas in which Green Bay forced two second-half interceptions and stopped a pair of fourth-down tries in scoring territory.

Detroit, meanwhile, is coming off a bye after a 45-21 rout of Arizona, Jared Goff’s fifth straight game without an interception to open the season.

The headline storyline is Josh Jacobs’ return. The Packers’ lead back has been sidelined since August 30 but is set to play against Detroit. Green Bay’s running game has been the NFL’s worst in his absence, averaging just 60.4 yards per game on 3.1 yards per carry.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends

Detroit opened as a 2.5-to-3.5-point home favourite on the NFL odds, and the number has settled at Lions -3 (-110). They are priced at -165 on the moneyline with Green Bay at +140. The Over/Under sits at 52.5, the highest total on the Week 7 board.

The trends favour the number more than either side outright. Detroit’s games have gone over in all five so far this season, while Green Bay has gone under in four of six.

Against the spread, the Packers have covered in three straight games after starting the season 0-3 ATS. They’re also 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings with the Lions, while Detroit sits at 1-3-1 ATS this season.

NFL Player Odds and Props

Detroit Lions

RB Jahmyr Gibbs has been nearly automatic in the red zone, rushing for 504 yards and seven touchdowns through five games (100.8 yards per game, 4.8 per carry) while adding 27 catches for 243 yards and two more scores through the air. His anytime-touchdown price sits at -330 this week, among the shortest odds tracked all season for an NFL running back.

Green Bay Packers

With RB Josh Jacobs back in the fold, his workload is the week’s biggest variable. He played no snaps in 2026 before this week, so oddsmakers have been slow to post a confident number on his rushing yardage, but expect early-down work right away for an offence that has had nothing else going on the ground.

Green Bay Packers

QB Jordan Love has quietly piled up 1,684 yards and 11 touchdowns over six games, though the Packers’ offence is averaging a modest 21.2 points per contest. Green Bay’s real strength has been defence, ranking 11th in points allowed (20.8 per game) and 10th in total yards, while rookie corner Brandon Cisse added his first career interception last week before exiting with a shoulder stinger.

Cisse is questionable to face Detroit, along with CB Benjamin St-Juste and guard Aaron Banks.

Edge rusher Micah Parsons, still working back from a torn ACL repaired in December surgery, has yet to practice this season and remains out, putting his streak of five straight 12-sack seasons in real jeopardy.

Detroit Lions

Jared Goff is off to the best start of his career: 1,485 yards, 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions through five games, a 67.0 completion percentage and a 111.3 rating.

Amon-Ra St. Brown already has five touchdown catches and added another 69 yards on six grabs in the win over Arizona in Week 5.

The issue is the other side of the ball; Detroit ranks 30th in points allowed (29.6 per game) and dead last in passing yards surrendered (297.4 per game).

Brian Branch is expected to play for the first time since tearing his Achilles last December, but fellow safety Kerby Joseph is out, and the Lions will need Penei Sewell to help control the line.
