Packers vs. Browns Point Spread: NFL Week 14 Odds, Prediction

Brett Hundley has shown some slow improvement as the Green Bay quarterback, but consistency is still a glaring issue, as is his terrible habit of holding onto the football.

The Browns’ best chance of avoiding the embarrassment and shame of an 0-16 season comes this weekend when they welcome the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers to town.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Packers opened as 3.5-point road favourites on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board with the total set at 40.5. The spread has since come down a half point in favour of the home side.

Green Bay is coming off just its second outright win since Aaron Rodgers went down with a collarbone injury. The Packers’ 26-20 home victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers improves their season record to 6-6 straight up and against the spread. Green Bay has covered the spread in three of its last four contests.

Betting on a high-scoring game seems to be the most profitable way to wager on the Packers. The over is 4-1 in their last five games, 8-4 on the season and 19-7 in their last 26 games overall.

The Browns lost 19-10 to the Chargers over the weekend but did cover as 13.5-point away underdogs. Cleveland is 0-12 straight up and 3-9 against the spread this season and 1-27 SU and 6-21-1 ATS since Hue Jackson took over as head coach.

The under is 20-8 in the Browns’ last 28 games at the Dawg Pound and 7-5 on the season overall.

Close to 90 percent of Sports Interaction bettors are backing the Packers to cover as 3-point away chalk and 61 percent like the game to go over the 40.5-point total.

Green Bay Packers

Can Green Bay get by one more game with Brett Hundley under centre? That’s the question Cheeseheads are asking themselves after Hundley’s middling performance against Tampa Bay. He accumulated just 84 passing yards on 22 attempts and was picked off once.

Rodgers would be expected to start for Green Bay in Week 15 if the team is able to top Cleveland.

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland supporters did get some good news last weekend besides the ATS cover. Wide receiver Josh Gordon made his long overdue return to the field for the Browns after missing the last two and half seasons because of league suspension for testing positive for marijuana.

Gordon was one of the league’s best receivers in 2012 when he snagged 87 catches for 1646 yards and nine touchdowns. He had four catches on 11 targets for 85 yards on Sunday against the Chargers.
