NFL: Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City wideout DeAndre Hopkins will be looking for a revenge game when the Chiefs host the Houston Texans on Saturday.

The Kansas City Chiefs are well rested ahead of their Divisional Round matchup against the Houston Texans. Let’s dig into the numbers and see if we can find some value in the player props market.

Houston Texans

The Texans are pretty heavy underdogs in this game and I think Kanas City will strike early and often at Arrowhead. That means Houston will be chasing the game, so they’ll have to focus on their passing attack. Rather than take Nico Collins, I’m going with the sneakier play of Joe Mixon‘s receiving yards number.

Collins will face a lot of double coverage, so give me Mixon’s achievable total of 15.5 receiving yards. It’s a number he’s surpassed in nine of 15 games this season and I would be very surprised if he doesn’t hit it again on Saturday.

Divisional Round prop: Joe Mixon Over 15.5 receiving yards (-110)

Kansas City Chiefs

Call me petty, but I love a revenge game, so I’m all-in on DeAndre Hopkins laying waste to his former team in the playoffs. Hopkins has shown increased chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and any type of double coverage will focus on Xavier Worthy, so Hopkins should get open looks.

This is a perfect opportunity to break the heart of a Houston team that unceremoniously dumped Hopkins in 2020, a move that is considered one of the worst trades in recent NFL history.

Divisional Round prop: DeAndre Hopkins anytime TD (+275)
