Lions vs. Titans Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction

The Tennessee Titans were able to ride yet another excellent performance from Derrick Henry to a win last week. They can’t afford to let their foot off the gas as they jockey for playoff positioning.

NFL Week 15 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The over is 4-0 in the Lions last four games when coming off of a straight up loss in the game prior and 9-2 in their past 11 games when totaling less than 90 rushing yards in their previous matchup. Detroit is also 4-1 ATS in their last five games after allowing their opponent to score more than 30 points in their previous game but are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven games when coming off of an ATS win.

The over is 4-0 in the Titans last four games which saw them total more than 350 yards of offense in the game prior and 6-1 in their last seven games against teams with a losing record. Tennessee is also 10-21-1 ATS in their past 32 matchups after scoring more than 30 points in their most recent game and only 8-17 in their past 25 games when coming off of a 14 or more point victory in their last game.

Detroit Lions

The Lions put up a great effort against the Packers but ended up falling short last week. Their offense was able to get some decent production against the 11th ranked Green Bay defense. However, their problem all season long has been their defense and that was the issue yet again last week. If they want to win this game, they will have to fix the issues that continuously come up in the Detroit defense because if they don’t, Henry will have a field day against them. Detroit’s run defense has allowed 4.4 yards-per-carry this season and 21 rushing touchdowns, which is the most in the NFL. If Henry gets cooking in this game, there won’t be much Detroit can do here.

Also, make sure you can keep an eye on the injury news this week. Quarterback Matt Stafford wasn’t able to finish against Green Bay and is doubtful to play early in the week.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have been a very solid team long despite some terrible performances throughout the season. Their rushing attack is like no other as Henry is a train when he gets going. They’re second in the NFL in rushing yards per game (157.8) and Henry seems to get stronger as the game progresses. They are going to want to get him involved early on in order to open up the passing lanes for Ryan Tannehill to pass through.

Much like the Lions, they have struggled on the defensive side of the football. They rank 24th in the NFL in total defense and have consistently struggled to generate pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. Their defense has picked up just 14 sacks on the year, which is the fewest in the NFL. They’ll likely catch a break this week, though, if Chase Daniel starts.
