Lions vs. Seahawks Point Spread: NFL Week 17 Odds, Prediction
The Detroit Lions pushed forward on their quest for the No. 1 overall selection in the NFL draft, losing to the Atlanta Falcons to fall down to 2-12-1 on the year. They continue to be very scrappy, though, as they could have picked up their third win of the season had it not been for a last-second interception.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Lions are 4-0 ATS in their last four matchups when coming into the game following a straight up loss. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks are 1-5 ATS in their last six games played against teams in the NFC conference. They are also 0-5 ATS in their past five games played in Week 17 of the regular season. At least the under has been steady for them, cashing out in ten of their past 12 games when suffering a straight up loss in their previous outing.

Detroit Lions
Jared Goff is currently listed as questionable to play for this game after missing last week’s game. If he is unable to get the green light for this one, we could see Tim Boyle to get another start. Boyle would have his hands full – especially if D’Andre Swift can’t make a return either. Swift is without a doubt the team’s best offensive weapon.
The passing game is usually where teams have success against the Seahawks, who have the league’s second-worst pass defense. The Lions have seen Amon-Ra St. Brown blossom recently, finishing with 86 yards or more and a touchdown in three of his last four games.
The main key to this game is will the Seahawks care all that much? They’re 5-10 and were hoping to be an NFC contender. Now they’re just three games better than the Lions. If they don’t really care about this game that much, the Lions could surprise here.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks passing game just hasn’t really been as consistent as we have grown accustomed to seeing. Russell Wilson is clearly still bothered from that finger injury he suffered earlier in the season. Even with weapons like D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, this unit has too many short drives and too few explosive plays.
The only real shining light they have had on offense has been the run game the last three weeks. Rashaad Penny is finally being given a chance to run the offense after three years of inconsistent play. This season he has given them 71 rushes for 389 yards and three touchdowns. Penny is the guy they need to lean on for a win here as the Lions have the sixth-worst run defense in the NFL.
