The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a huge upset loss to one New York team. They’re not going to stumble again at home to the other one…are they?

After losing to the Giants as a big favorite last week, the Seahawks are now an even bigger favorite against the Jets. What’s the best bet in this game?

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The under has cashed in quite a bit for the Jets this season, it is 5-1 in their past six games following an ATS win and 5-1 in their last six games against teams with winning records. They are surprisingly 4-1 ATS in their past five games played on fieldturf but are a mere 18-37-4 ATS in their last 59 games when coming in as the road underdog.

For the Seahawks, the under has been 4-0 in their last four games overall and 5-0 in their past five games against teams with a losing record. Seattle is also 33-15-4 ATS in their last 52 games when coming off a straight up loss in the game prior and shockingly 2-5 ATS in their last seven when coming in as the favorite in the matchup.

New York Jets

The Jets have continued to be horrendous all season long and it is now becoming apparent that they want that No. 1 overall selection in the upcoming draft. They were on their way to a huge victory against the Raiders in their last game until they decided to send an all-out blitz with only a few seconds left in the game, leaving a receiver wide open for a touchdown as time expired. This embarrassing led to the firing of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams but what’s really going to change? Not only does this team lack significant talent across their roster, but they are also held back by their atrocious coaching staff.

On top of that, Sam Darnold has thrown for 197 yards or less in five of his last six games. They’ll have a tough time winning if he doesn’t play better.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks were supposed to have an easy win against the Colt McCoy-led Giants last week but they were stonewalled by a stellar Giants defense. They now dropped down to 8-4 on the season, which now ties them with the Los Angeles Rams for first place in the NFC West. The issue now is the Rams holding the tie breaker, so the Seahawks playoff position has become precarious.

The Seahawks have been inconsistent the last few weeks, although their defense has improved a small bit from the beginning of the year now that Jamal Adams has returned to the lineup. They still rank 31st in the league in total defense but they’ve been notably better – especially with Carlos Dunlap up front picking up four sacks in four games since the Seahawks traded for him. There is no doubt that this team will be looking to make a statement win after dropping their last game. If the Seahawks are still Super Bowl contenders, they’ll roll to an easy win here.
