Jets vs. Washington Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 11 Odds

It’s not exactly the game of the week, but the Jets will try to win back-to-back games for the first
time this season. Washington will be looking for just their second win of the year, and have now
given the reins to a rookie quarterback.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Jets have played Washington twice since the 2011 season, winning both games. The last
was back in 2015, with a 34-20 win. Overall they are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four
games against them.
The Jets are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up win, and 0-3-1 ATS in their
last four games following an ATS win.
The numbers aren’t much better for Washington. They are 1-5 ATS in their last six home
games, and also last six games following a bye week. Also, they are 1-4 ATS versus a team
with a losing record.

New York Jets

Not only are the Jets coming off a win, but they are coming off their biggest offensive output of
the season. The Jets scored 34 points against the Giants, 28 of them on offence; finally showing
a pulse.

Sam Darnold was 19-of-30 for 230 yards passing and a touchdown. DeMaryius Thomas had his
best game as a Jet hauling in six catches for 84 yards, including one catch for 47 yards.

Jamison Crowder continues to be the team’s biggest producer on offence with five catches for
81 yards and a touchdown. This game probably means a lot to him as he was a member of
Washington the last four years prior to signing with the Jets this off season.

Could this be a break out game for Le’Veon Bell? The numbers say yes. Washington has the
28 th ranked defence against the run, averaging 136 yards per game. Bell hasn’t rushed for more
than 70 yards in a game this season. He has just two touchdowns in nine games this year.

Washington

Washington enters this game on a three game losing streak, with a 0-4 home record and still
trying to get interim Head Coach Bill Callahan his first victory.

On Monday the team announced that Dwayne Haskins will be the team’s starter the remainder
of the season. The rookie has appeared in three games this season and hasn’t thrown a
touchdown to date.

Receiver Terry McLaurin leads Washington with 32 receptions for 497 yards and five
touchdowns. He’s accounted for 45.5 percent of his team’s offensive touchdowns. To put that
into perspective, Christian McCaffrey has accounted for 59.1 percent of the Panthers offensive
touchdowns, the most in the NFL.

The team is coming off a bye, but in the previous three games the offence has combined for 18
points in those games, with zero touchdowns scored – a franchise record. Perhaps this will
change considering the Jets defence is allowing 26.4 points per game, the third worst mark in
the AFC.
