The Jets nearly played this role last weekend, but ended up blowing a two-touchdown lead at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buffalo’s back on track with a three-game win streak, most recently defeating the Atlanta Falcons 29-15.

Sunday’s kickoff at Highmark Stadium goes at 4:25 p.m. EST, with Buffalo a 16.5-point home favourite and the over-under at 43.5 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Home field advantage has been real for the Bills, who are winners of 12 of their last 15 games in front of Bills Mafia. The Jets meanwhile have come out victorious in just one of their last eight road games and have covered twice in seven road games this season.

Week 18 features all divisional games, meaning this is the second and final meeting between the Bills and Jets this season. Buffalo took the first contest 45-17, putting up 489 yards of offence. Quarterback Josh Allen reached a season-high 366 passing yards in the win.

The Bills’ 379 yards of offence per game this year ranks fifth in the league. New York’s 274 yards of offence per road game ranks second-last in the NFL.

New York Jets

Despite coming up short last week’s bout against the Buccaneers featured a lot of positives for the Jets. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson threw for 234 yards and a score while receiver Braxton Berrios found the end zone twice on 10 touches. Defence instead let New York down, as they allowed 11 consecutive points in the final quarter and 467 yards against in the game.

The Jets are giving up a league-worst 396 yards and 29.8 points per game. Back in Week 10 versus the Bills, it was 489 yards and 45 points allowed for the Jets.

Buffalo Bills

Allen’s reached 4,000 passing yards and 40 total touchdowns for the second straight season. He also has a career high 700 yards on the ground and barring injury will reach 5,000 total yards on the season for the first time in his career.

Allen’s production has Buffalo in third in the NFL with 28.5 points per game, a number they just reached last Sunday. Ironically, Allen threw three interceptions and zero touchdowns but the Bills rushed for 233 yards and four scores — two being courtesy of Allen.

At 17.4 points allowed per game, Buffalo’s second in the NFL on defence too and are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. With a home playoff game on the line, it should be no mercy.
