Jaguars vs. Titans Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction

At 7-4, Jacksonville is entering a crucial point in their season and need to continue winning to get a post-season berth. The Jags are on a two-game win streak and have won three of their last four, although two of those wins came in overtime at Vegas and Arizona.

The opposite is happening in Tennessee, although the real focus for the 1-10 Titans is to continue to develop rookie quarterback Cam Ward. Last week was one of the best performances of the season for the first overall draft pick, as Ward tossed for 256 yards and rushed for 37 in a turnover-free 30-24 loss to Seattle. It’s not much to brag about, but at the end of the day it’s progress.

Kickoff at Nissan Stadium is set for 1 p.m. EST with the Jaguars coming in as 6.5-point road favourites and -300 on the moneyline, while the total is at 42 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The over is a perfect 5-0 in Jacksonville’s road outings this season and that trend holds similar for the Titans at home, who have seen five of their six home outings finish over the total. Tennessee is 0-6 on home field this season too. Jacksonville’s scored at least 26 points in all of their road games this season but are only 3-2 because they allow nearly 30 points a game on the road and just tend to play shootouts when travelling.

This Sunday’s the first of two regular season meetings between these AFC South clubs. This matchup has been dead even over the past five years: these teams are 5-5 against one another both outright and against the spread, and the over-under is at 5-5 in those 10 games as well. Jacksonville tends to play not so well in Tennessee though, winning just two of their last 11 visits to Nashville. The Jags are 4-1 ATS in their last five divisional games overall.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The ups and downs of Trevor Lawrence are doing just enough for the Jaguars to win games. Lawrence finished last week’s 27-24 overtime win with three touchdowns and three interceptions and has now yet to finish with a positive touchdown to interception ratio in any of the Jaguars last four wins.

Jacksonville’s success is coming from the ability to keep swinging, and lately that starts with Travis Etienne Jr. The 26-year-old running back is seeing a good 20 touches a game this month and eclipsed nearly 1,000 yards of offence and seven touchdowns. Receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) remains limited at practice after being sidelined since Week 9. Tight end Brenton Strange returned from a six-week absence last week and led the team with 93 receiving yards.

Tennessee Titans

The glass half-full approach in Tennessee is the offence is showing progress. The 24-point outing was a season-high for this group, and Cam Ward’s 293 total yards was a career high for the first overall pick this spring. A legitimate playmaker is emerging in Tennessee too, and that’s NFL scrimmage yards leader Chimere Dike. The rookie receiver found the end zone twice last week, hauling in a touchdown reception and housing a punt return 90 yards. Dike has two punt return scores this season and now has seven straight games with at least three targets.

Injuries are hitting Tennessee’s offensive line hard right now though as left tackle Dan Moore Jr. exited last week with a knee injury and was limited at practice Wednesday. Centre Lloyd Cushenberry III (foot) did not practice Wednesday. Receiver Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) was limited on Wednesday after missing last week.
