In one of the most mismatched Week 15 games, the 8-5 Baltimore Ravens play host to the 1-12 Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Ravens are in a much better playoff position than they were a week ago, after a 55-yard Justin Tucker field goal with two second left on the clock sealed a win over the Browns, last week.  Baltimore comes into this game as 13-point favourites on the NFL odds, with a total of 47.5 after it opened at 46.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Jacksonville has struggled this year, with the under 4-1 in their last five games overall.  The Jaguars are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games against Baltimore, while the home team is 7-2-1 ATS in the last ten meetings between both teams.

The over is 5-1 in the Ravens’ last six games as a favourite and 8-1 in their last nine Sunday games, following a Monday night game.  Baltimore is 7-0 ATS in their last seven December games.

Jacksonville Jaguars

After replacing Mike Glennon in last week’s 31-10 loss to the Titans, it looks like Jacksonville will stick with Gardner Minshew at QB.  Minshew finished that game with 178 passing yards and one TD and although he hasn’t been stellar this year, his 14 TDs and five interceptions are far better numbers than any other Jaguars QB.

Jacksonville’s defence was absolutely wrecked by Titans running back Derrick Henry, who rushed for 215 yards and two TDs, averaging 8.3 yards per run.  The pass defence hasn’t been any better for the Jags as Jacksonville sits near the bottom of the league in passing yards allowed per game, giving up an average of 273.4.

Baltimore Ravens

It was all offence and no defence for Baltimore in their 47-42 win in Cleveland, last week.  In typical Ravens fashion, Baltimore relied heavily on the run-game.  As a team, the Ravens rushed for 231 yards and five TDs, with 124 of those yards and two TDs coming from QB Lamar Jackson (despite his “cramping” issues).  Jackson also threw for 163 yards and one TD, before Justin Tucker’s 55-yard field goal sealed the win with two seconds left.

The defence was another story for Baltimore, last week.  The Ravens’ pass defence gives up an average of 236 passing yards per game and Browns’ QB Baker Mayfield, who threw for 343 yards and two TDs, picked them apart.
