Jaguars vs. Ravens Kickoff, Weather, TV, Streaming Info
Jaguars-Ravens is Thursday, November 5 at 8:15 p.m. ET. The NFL lists all Thursday Night Football games as available on TSN in Canada, with DAZN carrying every NFL game through Game Pass.
Obviously now that we are into November, weather could be a problem in northern cities and there will be some potentially in Baltimore, but not the white stuff and apparently late: Cloudy with rain developing after midnight. Low 18C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 80%.
NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends
Even this time last week, this matchup looked like it would be massive in the AFC playoff race with Jacksonville leading the AFC South and Baltimore square in the middle of the AFC North and conference’s Wild-Card races. But then Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, a two-time league MVP, suffered a thumb injury on the first play of Sunday’s loss to Buffalo and will miss at least four weeks due to surgery and maybe the season.
It was his first game back from a different injury suffered in early October. The Ravens are last in their division at 4-4 and on their third-string quarterback Thursday. Think the season is finished and maybe they become sellers ahead of next week’s Trade Deadline.
The AFC South race is frankly already done with the Jaguars (5-2) holding a three-game lead over second-place Houston. Now the goal for Jacksonville is to earn the AFC’s top seed in the playoffs, and it is currently third behind Buffalo (6-2) and Denver (6-2).
The Jaguars leads this all-time series 13-11, all in the regular season, but they haven’t played since 2023.
NFL Player Odds and Props
Back Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence under 1.5 TD passes as this might be a blowout and T-Law pulled in the late-third quarter. For Baltimore, play Derrick Henry Under 69.5 rushing yards as the Jags will stack the box.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville came out of its bye week on Sunday following a two-week trip to London and won its first true home game since Week 3 in style, 42-7 over Indianapolis. But then the Jags are nearly unbeatable in Jacksonville with seven straight wins there and all by at least 17 points. Overall, though, they are an NFL-best 13-2 in their past 15 games overall (since Week 11 last year). Lawerence has become one of five active quarterbacks with at least 13 wins and 40 total touchdown passes in a 15-game span along with former league MVPs Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Jacksonville leads the NFL in points per game differential (plus-12.1) for the first time through Week 8 in team history. It’s the second-best PPG differential through seven games team history (plus-15.9 in 1999). The Jags dominate against the run, allowing a league-low 77.4 yards per game on the ground.
Baltimore Ravens
Not only is starting QB Lamar Jackson out tonight, but so is veteran backup Tyler Huntley as both went down in Sunday’s 36-10 loss in Buffalo – I mentioned Jackson may miss the season and Huntley will miss the rest. It’s the chance of a lifetime Thursday for undrafted free agent out of UConn. He wasn’t expected to make the team out of camp but played really well in the preseason. The 25-year-old saw his first regular-season action against the Bills and was 10-for-21 for 91 yards with no TDs, a pick and three sacks. And even Fagnano got banged up in that one, seen wearing a brace on his right ankle during Tuesday’s practice. But he will become only the second undrafted rookie quarterback to start for the Ravens in their 32-year history. The other was Anthony Brown in 2022. Baltimore will become the first NFL team ever to start an undrafted rookie QB the game after starting a former MVP signal-caller.
