Jaguars vs. Raiders Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction
This contest marks the last Raiders home game to be played in Oakland. Next season the team
will call Las Vegas home.
Both the Raiders and Jaguars have been ice cold entering this one, combining for eight losses
over the last five weeks.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Raiders have won three straight games against the Jaguars dating back to October 2012.
Not too many stats favouring the Jaguars in this one. The Jags are 0-5 against the spread in
their last five games overall, and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following an ATS loss. They
are also 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight up loss of more than 14 points.
Jacksonville is also 0-6 ATS in their last six games played on the West Coast.
The Raiders match the Jags in most categories. They are 0-4 ATS in their last four games
overall, also 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight up loss of more than 14 points.
Oakland is also 0-4 ATS in their last four games against AFC opponents.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The year started with promise, a set solid defence, a new free agent quarterback, and the hope
of division title. Over the last month those dreams came crashing down and the Jags are looking
at a lost 4-9 season.
Entering this game they are riding an embarrassing five-game losing streak, and in that time
have been badly outscored 174-57. That’s an average score of 34.8 to 11.4.
The Jaguars defence is ranked 24 th in the league, allowing 373.1 yards per game. The worst of
the defence is the rush defence – currently ranked tied for 30 th allowing an average of 141.1
yards per game. Last week’s game against the Chargers was the latest chapter of this stat. Los
Angeles rushed for 195 yards against Jacksonville that spearheaded 45-10 loss.
Gardner Minshew was under center throwing for 162 yards and a touchdown. It was hardly a
confirmation of who will be the starting quarterback this week against the Raiders.
Oakland Raiders
Just three weeks ago the Raiders were turning heads and flirting with the notion of playoff talk
with a 6-4 record. Fast forward to the start of week 15 and the Raiders are now 6-7 after a
three-game losing streak.
Within the losing streak the team was blown out three straight times; to the Jets by 31 points,
the Chiefs by 31 points, and Titans by 21 points.
Last week the Raiders were missing Josh Jacobs who is nursing a fractured shoulder. No word
on whether or not he plays this week, but the team misses him badly. DeAndre Washington led
the way for the Raiders (against the Titans) with 53 yards along the ground and one touchdown.
