With the Jaguars still possessing a slim shot at home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs and the 49ers about to spend the postseason on the couch, you might have expected the home team to be getting more than four points in this one. But San Francisco is playing its best football of the season, having won three in a row and four of five. That said, the Jags have been a tough road team, having covered in seven of their last nine away from Jacksonville.
Sports Interaction bettors are putting their faith in the superior team, with 88 percent taking the Jaguars. And 75 percent are going with the over on the 42-point total, affirming their belief that Jacksonville can score at will against the 49ers. But the Jaguars have gone below the total in five of their previous seven road games, while San Francisco is 2-5 O/U in its last seven and has gone over just once in 11 home games against teams with winning road records.

The Jaguars are currently installed at +650 to represent the AFC in the championship game.
San Francisco 49ers
By acquiring quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots in the final year of his contract, the 49ers knew they would have some work to do in order to keep him around. Given what they’ve seen out of him so far, they might want to start drawing up that contract. Garoppolo has been sensational since taking over the starting role, throwing for more than 1,000 yards in his three starts – all San Francisco victories.
