Giants vs. Commanders Point Spread: NFL Week 11 Odds, Prediction

The Giants came up with one of their two wins on the season when they defeated Washington 14-7 back on October 22. Since then the Giants have dropped their straight contests while scoring a combined 33 points.
The 4-6 Commanders are by all means still in the playoff hunt but are getting to the point where they can’t afford any more losses. Washington got walked off in Seattle last weekend, falling 29-26 despite scoring two touchdowns in the game’s final eight minutes.
Kickoff at FedEx Field Sunday begins at 1 p.m. EST with the Commanders nearly a double-digit favourite on the point spread and the over-under at 37 on the NFL odds.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
New York’s Week 7 win over Washington lived up to the recent trend when these two teams clash, as the Giants are now 7-2-1 in their last 10 meetings with Washington. The Giants are 8-2 ATS in those 10 outings too, holding the Commanders to under 19 points a game. All five of New York’s last five visits to Washington, they’ve covered the spread.
The under is on a 7-1 run in Giants games this season and come into Sunday with easily the league’s lowest scoring team this season at 11.8 points per game. And as mentioned, the last time these played four weeks ago there was a total of 21 points. Fourteen of Washington’s last 18 home games have gone under the total too.
New York Giants
Despite some horrific performances these past three weeks, Tommy DeVito is remaining the Giants starting quarterback for Week 11. DeVito’s coming off 27 pass attempts that went for 86 yards in last week’s 49-17 loss at Dallas. New York’s now gone under 200 yards of total offence in two of their past three games. The quarterback position’s been an utter disaster in New York though, as starter Daniel Jones is out for the season with an ACL, backup Tyrod Taylor is now on the IR leaving DeVito and Matt Barkley as the team’s two healthy quarterbacks.
It’s not just the quarterback spot New York’s hurting at too. Receiver Jalin Hyatt, corner Adoree’ Jackson, offensive tackle Evan Neal, and linebackers Bobby Okereke and Kayvon Thibodeaux missed Wednesday’s practice due to injury.
Washington Commanders
If you’re a believer of moral wins, Washington checked that box in last weekend’s loss at Seattle. Sam Howell led the team down on what appeared to be the game-winning drive, throwing his second touchdown of the fourth quarter with 52 seconds remaining. But the Seahawks drove down only to kick a game-winning field goal as time expired.
Howell’s now thrown for 300 yards in all of Washington’s last three games but the team’s record is 1-2. Howell has eight touchdowns and two interceptions over that span too. Washington’s only 17th in the NFL in points per game though (21.7), so the most crucial aspect on offence still isn’t exactly there. Case in point: Howell passing for 249 yards, but zero touchdowns in Washington’s 14-7 loss at New York last month.
