Giants vs. Bears Point Spread: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction

Chicago was the last team standing in a back-and-forth game, winning 47-42 over the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Rookies were on fire as RB Kyle Monangai rushed for 176 yards and TE Colston Loveland had six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-winning 58-yard catch-and-run with 17 seconds left for the win.

The Giants lost their third straight with a 34-24 setback at home to the San Francisco 49ers. It was the third consecutive time New York allowed at least 33 points.

Sunday’s matchup pits two of the league’s worst defences against one another.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Giants have lost 10 straight road games dating back to last season. They are 0-5 straight up and 2-3 against the spread away from home this year.

The Bears are 2-1 against the spread at home and 2-0 as a favourite. Caleb Williams has thrown for 1,916 yards and 12 touchdowns, but has only tossed two or more TDs in a game three times this season. He is listed at -130 to throw less than 1.5 touchdowns Sunday.

New York rookie Jaxson Dart has thrown two or more touchdowns in three of his six starts. He is +130 to toss more than 1.5 touchdowns. He is also -115 to throw and run for less than 266.5 yards combined. He has only topped that number once this season.

New York Giants

New York has been abysmal on the defensive side of the ball. Although Brian Burns leads the NFL with 11 sacks, the Giants can’t stop the run. They are 29th in the league, allowing 150 yards rushing per game. New York is 26th in scoring defence, allowing 27.7 points per game, and 27th in total defence, surrendering 382.1 yards per contest.

New York has an injury-riddled secondary and is without its top two playmakers on offence as running back Cam Skattebo (ankle dislocation) and Malik Nabers (torn ACL) are both out for the season.

Chicago Bears

Monangai and Loveland just had their best games as pros. RB D’Andre Swift missed the Bengals game and will likely be out against the Giants while battling a chronic groin injury. Monangai didn’t miss a beat in rushing for 176 yards in Week 9.

Loveland had been somewhat of a disappointment as the Bears’ first-round draft pick, but he more than doubled his season production and scored the first two touchdowns of his career. TE Cole Kmet went out with a concussion in the second quarter against Cincinnati, so expect Loveland’s name to continue to be called upon this week.

The Bears are fourth in total offence (378.4 YPG) and second in rushing offence (144.4 YPG). A week after victimizing the Bengals’ NFL-worst defence, Chicago should have some fun against New York’s woeful D as well.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Giants vs. Bears?

The Giants are allowing 27.7 points per game, and Chicago is actually worse, surrendering 28.4 points per game. It could be a shootout at Soldier Field, but the Giants simply don’t know how to win on the road, and they don’t have the talent or the depth to hang with the Bears this weekend.

Look for Chicago to win, 38-21.
