The Denver Broncos just can’t seem to get themselves back into the win column. They started the year out 3-0 and were looking like one of the best teams in the league for a little bit, but are in the midst of a four-game losing skid ever since. The Washington Football Team hasn’t fared much better as they are entering with a 2-5 record on the season, losing to the Green Bay Packers last weekend.

The Broncos are 3-point favourites to win on the NFL odds, with a total of 49.0.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Football Team is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after picking up more than 350 total yards of offence in the previous game. However, Washington is just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-4 ATS in their past four when coming into the game as an underdog.

Meanwhile, Denver is 10-4 ATS in their past 14 games when playing against a team with a losing overall record. The Broncos are just 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and haven’t been looking like a great football team lately. The month of October hasn’t been kind to them lately either, dropping their last five against the spread during the month.

Washington Football Team

Washington is going to have to find a way to stretch the ball down the field if they hope to pull this win out. On the road, in Denver, facing a good defence that will snuff their run game out, Washington will have to hit some deep plays. Denver has a great secondary, but they are a group that has allowed a 48+ yard touchdown reception in three of their last four games. Luckily, Taylor Heinicke has Terry McLaurin to target deep down the football field. McLaurin has missed some practice time this week though, so keep a close eye on if he suits up.

Defensively, this defensive line has to step up. Playmakers like Chase Young and Jonathan Allen will have a prime opportunity to wreak havoc on a struggling Broncos offensive line. If they force a couple of turnovers and get some short fields, they can win this game.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos might be getting a tremendous boost to their offence with Jerry Jeudy potentially coming back from his ankle injury. He isn’t confirmed to return just yet but if he can get back on the field, it would be huge for an offence that has been stumbling in recent weeks. Teddy Bridgewater has been efficient at quarterback so far this season but he hasn’t had any explosive plays. This team doesn’t push the ball deep down field and they instead rely upon a run game featuring Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams. They have a quarterback who can get the ball down the field in Drew Lock but he makes too many mistakes. Bridgewater avoids the mistakes but also the big plays.

This team likes to win games defensively but might be without one key cog in Von Miller. He left last week’s game and vowed to play in Week 8, but a nagging ankle injury could hamper him.
