Falcons vs. Jets Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
The Sunday slate in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season includes a matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets. It has been a rough season for both teams. Atlanta has been worse than expected and carries a 4-7 record. New York has been predictably bad at 2-9.
As members of different conferences, these two franchises rarely square off. The Falcons lead the all-time head-to-head series 9-5. They have won three consecutive meetings dating back to 2017, securing victories in five of the last six dating back to 2005.
The NFL odds board has the Falcons listed as 2.5-point road favourites.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
There is no prevailing ATS trend for the Falcons, although they are a respectable 2-0-1 ATS in their last three games away from home (including one neutral-site contest).
Surprisingly, the Jets have covered in four straight games. However, New York is 0-2 ATS in the last two head-to-heads. As for the Over/Under, the Over is 3-1 in the Falcons’ last four overall and also 3-1 in the previous four head-to-head encounters. However, the Under is 4-2 in the Jets’ past four outings.
In addition to the more traditional lines, the first-quarter spread is -0.5 in the Falcons’ favour, and the first-half spread is also -0.5. The first-quarter Over/Under is 7.5; the first-half Over/Under is 19.5.
Atlanta Falcons
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. suffered a partially torn ACL in Week 11 and is out for the season. That means Kirk Cousins is back under center for the Falcons. The 37-year-old was solid but unspectacular this past Sunday during a 24-10 victory at New Orleans, completing 16 of 23 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Unfortunately for Cousins, he is not mobile at all and playing behind an offensive line that is riddled with injuries. Speaking of injuries, wide receiver Drake London missed last weekend’s game due to a knee problem and is questionable for this one.
Fortunately for the visitors, their defence is playing great. Rookie first-round draft picks Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. have revitalized the pass rush, which ranks third in the league in sacks with 39.
New York Jets
The Jets are dealing with their own quarterback carousel. They have been going back and forth between Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields; Taylor is currently the starter following Fields’ most recent stinker in Week 11. Let’s be honest – it probably does not matter who is steering the sinking ship that is the New York offence. Taylor is arguably superior, but that’s not exactly saying a lot. His team has scored 10 points or fewer in three of the 36-year-old’s four appearances this season.
Adding insult to injury (or vice versa), wide receiver Garrett Wilson missed last week’s 23-10 loss to the Ravens because of a knee issue and is expected to be sidelined for at least a few more weeks. On the other side of the ball, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was sent to Dallas prior to the trade deadline.
Who Will Win Falcons vs. Jets?
As expected, New York’s offence has been a disaster this season. It ranks No. 29 overall and No. 27 in scoring. Since Week 5, the Jets have exceeded the 14-point mark only twice. They have lost two consecutive contests and scored a total of 24 combined points in those two games.
A stingy Atlanta defence should be able to capitalize. Let’s go with Falcons 20, Jets 17.
