Falcons vs. Cardinals Point Spread: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction

The start will mark Murray’s first appearance in 11 months after tearing his ACL. It’s a much-needed boost to Arizona’s offence too, as rookie Clayton Tune put up a total of 58 total yards in an embarrassing 27-0 loss last weekend. The loss dropped Arizona to 1-8 on the season. The 4-5 Falcons are dealing with a quarterback switcheroo as well, as Taylor Heinicke will remain the starting quarterback over Desmond Ridder.

Kickoff at State Farm Stadium begins at 4:05 with the Falcons being the slightest favourite at -120 moneyline and the over-under at 44 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Arizona and winning football games hasn’t been much of a combo these past years, but something they have done this season is cover at home. The Cardinals 3-1 ATS record at home this season is a lot prettier than their 2-16 record outright in their last 18 home games, at least.

Eleven of Atlanta’s last 15 contests have gone under the total, including three of their four road games this season. The Falcons have struggled mightily on the road too with a single win in their last 10 road outings. Bottom line is someone’s improving Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons

Heinicke’s last two outings have been solid for Atlanta, with the team scoring 51 total points but falling short in each contest. So while a somewhat needed quarterback change hasn’t derailed much of the production in Atlanta, a more concerning aspect with this offence is Bijan Robinson. The eighth overall pick in this year’s draft lost a fumble in Atlanta’s 31-28 loss last weekend and ended up receiving one fewer carry than fellow running back Tyler Allgeier. Robinson’s now gone five straight games without 100 yards and has one score over that span.

Several Falcons starters are going through some injuries too, namely at receiver as Mack Hollins was a DNP Wednesday with an ankle injury suffered last week and Drake London was limited with a groin. Cornerback Dee Alford exited last week’s game and did not practice Wednesday.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have now lost six straight games but put their league-worst record in jeopardy with a star player returning in Kyler Murray. It’s a difficult spot for Arizona, who’s 28th-ranked scoring offence has been instrumental in their 1-8 record that’s put them atop the first overall pick sweepstakes. And Murray — the 2019 first overall pick — returning should raise the production of this offence. Running back James Conner is set to return to practice too, although not expected to play this Sunday.

These two moves indicate Arizona’s still in it to win games this season. Arizona’s been sneaky decent on defence too, averaging under five yards per play allowed in their last three outings which puts them in the top 10 in the NFL.
