Falcons vs. 49ers Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction
The 49ers jumped into top spot in the NFC with a hard fought victory over the Saints. They will
try to avoid a letdown against the helpless Falcons who have under-achieved this season.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The 49ers have won three out of the last four meetings against the Falcons.
The Falcons are 4-1 against the spread versus a team with a winning record but are 4-10 ATS
in their last 14 games as a road underdog. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last five games
following a straight up win.
The 49ers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five home
games. The 49ers are 0-3-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are coming off one of their very few complete efforts of the season in a 40-20 win
over the Panthers last weekend.
Despite nursing a tender ankle that has kept him limited at practice during the last number of
weeks, quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown for 300+yards in three of his last four games. In
those four games he’s amassed a total of 1205 yards. The Falcons are 2-2 over the last four
games with both wins happening against the Carolina Panthers.
Younghoe Koo replaced Matt Bryant (who was cut in week nine) and has made the most of his
opportunity. In five games he is 16-of-18 on field goals with a long of 50 yards.
Of note, receiver Calvin Ridley is out for the remainder of the season with an abdominal injury.
The 24 year old finishes the year with 63 receptions for 866 yards and seven touchdowns.
San Francisco 49ers
At 10-2 the 49ers are coming off their biggest win of the season, a 48-46 slugfest in New
Orleans. Jimmy Garoppolo was 26-of-35 for 349 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in
the victory.
The 49ers were impressive in all facets on offence. Running back Raheem Mostert carried the
ball 10 times for 69 yards and the team ran for a combined 162 yards on the day.
The receiving core was outstanding led by Emmanuel Sanders who caught seven passes for
157 yards. It was by far his best game as a 49ers. The Niners’ acquired Sanders from the
Broncos in a deal just prior to the trade deadline.
Tight End George Kittle continues to make the argument that he is the best at his position. Kittle
grabbed six passes for 76 yards, but none bigger than converting a 4 th and 2 late in the fourth
quarter with the game on the line.
