After settling for a 20-20 tie with Washington last weekend, the Giants have now posted just one win in their past five games and remain stalled in third place in the division standings. The Eagles maintained their winning ways with a dominating 35-10 win over Tennessee last weekend to improve their league-leading record to 11-1.
Since opening as 6-point favourites on the NFL odds, the Eagles have vaulted to 7-point road chalk, backed by 63 per cent of sports bettors. There has been plenty of movement on the total, which opened at 43 and has since risen to 44.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Sunday afternoon’s matchup at MetLife Stadium marks the first of two regular season meetings between these long-time division rivals. These teams split a pair of games last season, with home teams earning the win in each, capped by Philadelphia’s 34-10 win in Week 16. In addition to snapping a brief two-game win streak for New York in head-to-head play that win also lifted the Eagles to 13-3 in their past 16 dates with the Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles’ offence caught fire once again last weekend, racking up 453 total yards in their rout of the Titans. Jalen Hurts continued his ascension into the ranks of the NFL’s elite pivots by throwing for 380 yards and three touchdowns, and has now found the end zone on 16 occasions over the past seven games while tossing just one pick.
It was also another big day for Hurts’ favourite target AJ Brown, who padded his team-leading touchdown count with two scoring passes while racking up 119 receiving yards. With the win, the eagles have now scored 75 total points over their past two outings. However, they have not been quite as prolific on the road, averaging just 22 points per game over their past four away contests.
New York Giants
Things have not gone as well for the Giants, who find themselves clinging to the No. 6 seed in the NFC after posting just one win in five outings. New York’s offensive woes continued in last week’s 20-20 tie with the Commanders. After spotting Washington an early 10-0 lead, the Giants battled back, and took a 20-13 lead into the fourth quarter, but generated just one total yard on their final four possessions in regulation, and blew their chance to claim the win by missing a 58-yard field goal attempt in overtime as time expired.
Overall, the Giants have averaged just 19 points per game over their past five contests. And their circumstances are not helped by a rash of injuries. The most notable name to make the list is rusher Saquon Barkley, who has been limited at practice this week due to a neck injury, and who has scored two of the team’s four touchdowns over the past two weeks.
