Eagles vs. Giants TNF Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction

Philadelphia (4-1) is looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season. New York (1-4) is 1-1 since turning to rookie Jaxson Dart as its starting quarterback.

The Eagles have completely dominated this division-rivalry matchup for basically two decades. Dating back to 2008, they are 28-7 straight up. They are also 19-4 dating back to 2014. Philadelphia swept last season’s regular-season meetings by a combined 48-16 margin, including a 28-3 rout in New York.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

A look at the NHL odds shows us the Eagles are 16-2 on the moneyline and 13-5 against the spread in their previous 18 games overall, dating back to last season. Head coach Nick Sirianni’s squad is 5-2 ATS in its last seven and 8-3 ATS in its latest 11 contests. The Giants are 3-6 ATS in their last nine overall and 3-5 ATS in their previous eight meetings against the Eagles. The Under is 5-1 in New York’s last six contests; it is also 3-0 in the previous three head-to-head meetings.

In addition to the more traditional lines, the first-quarter spread is -0.5 in Philly’s favour and the first-half spread is -4.5. On the prop-betting front, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has the best chance to score a touchdown at -165 odds, while quarterback Jalen Hurts is not far behind at -145. Running back Cam Skattebo (+130) is the most likely Giants player to find the endzone.

Philadelphia Eagles

Following last week’s home loss to the Denver Broncos, everyone was wondering about Barkley’s lack of production in the running game. On Monday, the answer was revealed: the star running back is not 100%. Although Barkley is dealing with a sore knee, he should be able to play on Thursday night. However, whether or not it will be a peak Barkley on display remains to be seen.

Now would be a good time for wide receiver A.J. Brown to get involved in the offence. Brown griped about a lack of production before last week’s game against Denver, but he went on to gain only 43 yards. He still has just one touchdown for the season.

Philadelphia is facing a New York defense that ranks No. 24 against the pass, so this is a decent opportunity for Brown to put up some solid numbers.

New York Giants

Dart is currently listed as questionable, but he is expected to play on Thursday night. The rookie out of Ole Miss also dealt with this hamstring issue last week before suiting up in a terrible loss to the previously winless New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately for Dart, even when healthy, he has not been particularly effective in the early stages of his career. Through two starts, the 22-year-old has thrown for 313 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He is averaging just 5.2 yards per attempt and has been sacked six times.

Elsewhere on offence, WR Malik Nabers is out for the year with a torn ACL, while fellow WR Darius Slayton and RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. are questionable. Expect the Giants to rely heavily on Skattebo this week.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Eagles vs. Giants?

As we have seen already this season, spreads of a touchdown or more are dangerous in a league with lots of parity. Philadelphia may prevail, but New York should be able to make the game competitive at home. Let’s go with Eagles 23, Giants 17.
