Eagles vs. Cowboys Point Spread: NFL Week 14 Odds, Prediction

The Cowboys have the Eagles to thank for currently being all alone in first place in the NFC East division. The Eagles downed the Redskins, and now the Cowboys and Eagles are separated by one game. This game will be the last regular season divisional game for the Cowboys who could separate themselves from the NFC pack with a victory on Sunday afternoon.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

This will be the second and final regular season match-up between these two divisional rivals. The Cowboys won the contest earlier in November, and over the last 10 games (dating back to 2013), these two teams have split them evenly at five wins each.

The favourite in this series is 5-1 against the spread, and the road team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 games. The Eagles have played well in Dallas, going 5-2 ATS in the last seven games in the lone star state.

The Cowboys have been very good at home this season with a 5-1 record, knocking off notable opponents like the Saints, Jaguars, and Redskins. This will be their third straight home game.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are coming off a massive divisional win on Monday over the Redskins. With that, the team is enjoying its first two game winning streak of the season. Are the defending Super Bowl champions starting to peak at the right time? They might be. Quarterback Carson Wentz has thrown for 542 yards in two games and seems to have a new favourite target.

The Eagles turned heads when they acquired Golden Tate from the Lions just prior to the trade deadline, and that deal is starting to take shape. Tate had his best game as an Eagle on Sunday, catching seven passes on seven targets for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Also, the Eagles running game is on point. In the last two contests, newcomer Josh Adams has taken full control of the starting duties with 42 carriers for 169 yards. In his previous seven games he had just 34 carries and played a very limited role with the offence.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are the hottest team in the NFC, riding a four game winning streak entering this game with the Eagles. The streak started against the Eagles back on November 11 with a 27-20 win in Philadelphia. A win against Philadelphia would give them a two-game lead with three games to go.

The Cowboys have a lot going for them coming off a win against the Saints on Thursday night; they have a 10-day layoff entering this game, while the Eagles travel to Dallas on a short week.

Quarterback Dak Prescott is playing some of the best football of his young career in this month of November, throwing for an average of 253.8 yards per game, that’s 50.6 more yards than the Cowboys team average this season. Some of his success can be placed on the team trading for Amari Cooper. Cooper has played five games with the Cowboys, and has averaged 84.8 yards per game. These last four games of the regular season will determine the Cowboys future, and also how much money Prescott makes in the off season. His rookie contract expires at year’s end.
