Prescott suffered a serious hamstring injury while the Cowboys dropped a 27-21 decision in Atlanta that has extended their current losing streak to three games and dramatically diminished their chances of returning to contention in the NFC East. Conversely, the Eagles will be eyeing the top of the division standings with a fifth straight victory after outlasting Jacksonville in last weekend’s 28-23 win.

The Eagles arrive in Big D perched as 7.5-point favourites on the NFL Week 10 odds. The Cowboys lag as +280 NFL moneyline underdogs and the total is listed at 43.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These two teams may be headed in different directions this season, but the Eagles still face the challenge of snapping a six-game losing streak in Dallas that has featured for defeats by double-digit margins and one loss as betting chalk. Indeed, the home team has largely dominated when these rivals meet, earning the win in 10 of their past 11 matchups while going 10-1 against the spread over that stretch. However, the Eagles have emerged as road warriors this season, padding their record with victories in four of their five games away from Lincoln Financial Field while the Cowboys find themselves mired in a four-game losing streak on home turf during which they have allowed 44 or more points three times and have covered just once in seven home dates since last Thanksgiving.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles coasted to a 22-16 win over the Jaguars on the strength of yet another impressive defensive performance. Apart from the four-minute stretch in the third quarter that featured two Jaguars scores, the Philly defence slammed the door, keeping Jacksonville on their own side of the 50 until garbage time. Overall, the Eagles have surrendered just 13.8 points per game during their 4-0 run, which has featured a pair of road victories by double-digit margins. However, with a growing injury list of their own, maintain that torrid pace remains a challenge. Among the players to miss time at practice this week are receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, both of whom are questionable for Sunday, as well as tackle Mekhi Becton, cornerback Darius Slay, and linebacker Josh Sweat.

Dallas Cowboys

The loss of Dak Prescott to injury is the latest blow to a Cowboys squad that has fallen woefully short of expectations this season. Now trailing the second-place Eagles by three games in divisional standings with a 3-5 record, the Cowboys rank second last in the NFL after allowing 32.6 points per game while scoring just 21.4 points per game. The task of sparking the Dallas attack is now in the hands of backup quarterback Cooper Rush. The 30-year-old posted a respectable 115 passing yards and one score after stepping in after Prescott was injured last week, and will be counted on to duplicate his efforts from 2022, when he led to Dallas to four straight wins while Prescott was sidelined. That is a tall order, considering the Cowboys’ recent form. Dallas has failed to score a touchdown in the first quarter in each of their past four games and has found the end zone just once in the first 15 minutes since opening the season with a 33-17 win in Cleveland.
