Dolphins vs. Steelers Point Spread: NFL Week 15 MNF Odds, Prediction
Two signature AFC franchises both battling for a playoff spot meet on Monday Night Football to conclude Week 15 as the Miami Dolphins visit the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers, who are 3-point favourites with a total of 42.5 on the NFL odds.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Just three Monday night games remaining in the 2025 NFL regular season – and MNF games have been dreadfully dreary in recent weeks with either blowouts or ugly offensive affairs. But the good news for Dolphins at Steelers is that both are playing for the post-season.
Pittsburgh got a huge Week 14 win in Baltimore, now controls its destiny to win the AFC North and is a -170 favourite to win that but still has to play the second-place Ravens (+170) again Week 18. At least that’s in Pittsburgh.
Following a Week 9 loss to Baltimore, the Dolphins were 2-7, the season looked finished and coach Mike McDaniel seemed like a lock to be fired imminently. But while the team did make a change back then at general manager, it kept McDaniel and suddenly is on the outside of the AFC Wild-Card race on a four-game winning streak to get to 6-7. The team is still a +6500 longshot for the playoffs, but McDaniel might be saving his job for 2026.
Including a few playoff matchups, Pittsburgh leads this all-time series 15-14 but lost that last one, 16-10 in Miami in 2022.
Miami Dolphins
It will obviously be cold on Monday night in Pittsburgh and neither the Dolphins nor QB Tua Tagovailoa historically have fared well in outdoor cold-weather games. But the Fins had no problem Sunday in a 34-10 win at the New York Jets to get within a game of .500. It wasn’t brutally cold, but Tagovailoa had been 0-7 career when the temperature was eight degree celcius or colder at kickoff and it was five degrees Sunday. The Fins rushed 41 times for 239 yards and three scores, so they didn’t ask Tua to do much as the lefty was 13-for-21 for 127 yards and a TD.
Top tailback De’Von Achane rushed 13 times for 92 yards and a TD despite leaving in the second with a rib injury and not returning so that’s something to monitor. Achane now has 34 career TDs, most in a player’s first season in Dolphins history. Jaylen Wright set career highs with 24 carries for 110 yards and his first career touchdown in Achane’s stead Sunday. The defence has really stepped up during this four-game winning streak, now allowing 13.3 PPG in that stretch. The Dolphins are 4-2 ATS in their past six.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Not many people gave the Steelers a great shot of winning a huge game Sunday in Baltimore, but they did, 27-22, to snap a two-game skid and take control of the AFC North temporarily. Pittsburgh was the beneficiary of a questionable call when a Baltimore go-ahead touchdown with 2:43 remaining was overturned by a replay review. Aaron Rodgers has looked old this season for the most part but was very efficient in throwing for a season-high 284 yards and a score while rushing for a rare touchdown – his first since 2022.
Top wideout DK Metcalf had a season-high 148 yards on seven catches but spent Sunday night in a Baltimore hospital with stomach pains. Pittsburgh won despite getting outgained a whopping 172-8 in the fourth quarter. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. It was the 190th career win for Mike Tomlin to tie for 10th-most in league history. Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS in its past four on Monday.
