Dolphins vs. Bills Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction

First place in the AFC East will be all but settled with a Buffalo win, but a Miami win would open the race back up and also give the Dolphins a season sweep of the Bills.

The 8-5 Dolphins took down the 10-3 Bills at Miami back in Week 3, a game where Buffalo outgained Miami 497-212. The difference in the division right now is Buffalo enters Week 15 on a four-game win streak, while Miami’s dropped their last two contests.

Kickoff at Highmark Stadium goes at 8:15 p.m. EST, with Buffalo a 7.5-point favourite and the total at 42 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Despite the Miami win earlier this season it’s been all Bills when these teams clash. Buffalo’s won eight of their last 10 against Miami, including the last five played at Buffalo. In those 10 recent meetings, Miami’s averaged just over 18 points. And the Dolphins Week 3 win was played at Miami, Saturday’s temperature is supposed to be 28 degrees with snow showers in the forecast.

The total has gone under in nine of Buffalo’s last 11 outings, and under in five of their last six against divisional opponents. The under has also connected in nine of Miami’s last 13 against divisional opponents, but five of their seven road games this season have finished over.

Miami Dolphins

An ugly offensive performance spearheaded by Tua Tagovailoa last Sunday night ruined Miami’s chances of leaving California with a win. For the second straight game the Dolphins scored 17 points, but this past weekend Tagovailoa completed just 10 of 28 pass attempts for 145 yards. Miami also had 219 yards of offence in the loss, 60 of which came on a Tyreek Hill touchdown reception. Hill missed parts of the loss with an ankle injury and was limited in practice Tuesday.

Miami’s still a top 10 offence with 24.3 points per game (ninth in NFL) and 367.8 yards per game (seventh in the NFL) but they’re on the road for the third straight week, travelling across the country, and on a short week. Things aren’t getting easier.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills clawed out a 20-12 victory against the New York Jets last week, playing at home in sloppy weather conditions. The weather factored into what was almost a scoreless first half if not for a late Dawson Knox touchdown. The touchdown pass was Josh Allen’s lone passing score, as the Bills star quarterback only threw for 147 yards in the win. Allen was also Buffalo’s leading rusher for the eighth time this season but with only 47 yards on the ground.

Linebacker Matt Milano (knee) missed practice Tuesday, as did right guard Ryan Bates (ankle). Defensive tackles Ed Oliver (pec) and Jordan Phillips (shoulder) also appeared on the team’s injury report — all of their game statuses are up in the air.
