The Dolphins have dropped four games in a row, and will be in tough to end that streak against a red-hot Patriots team that has won six straight to reclaim its familiar perch atop the AFC hierarchy.

Wow. What else can you say about New England giving up nearly two touchdowns and a field goal on Sunday? For starters, bettors beware; while the Pats are a perfect 6-0 ATS in games where they’re favoured by a touchdown or less this season, they have failed to cover in any game where they were giving away eight or more points. That includes a straight-up loss to Houston in Week 3 despite New England coming in as a 13.5-point fave.
The spread hasn’t scared off Sports Interaction bettors, who are on the Patriots at a 70-percent clip; an even bigger majority – 95 percent, to be precise – like the over on the 47.5-point total. Miami has exceeded the number in five straight games, and seven of its last eight encounters with AFC teams. The Patriots, meanwhile, have gone under the total in five of their last six games thanks to a defence that has improved significantly from the start of the season.
Miami Dolphins
Injuries have all but derailed the Dolphins’ playoff chances – and the Patriots could wind up putting the final nail in the coffin if Miami can’t figure out how to stop them. The Dolphins have surrendered more than 35 points per game over the course of their losing skid – and none of their opponents over that stretch (Ravens, Raiders, Panthers, Buccaneers) could be considered offensive juggernauts. Miami hasn’t covered since Week 7.
New England Patriots
Give the Patriots credit for addressing their biggest in-season weakness; they’ve allowed an average of 12.5 points over the course of their six-game winning streak, covering in five of those games while exceeding the total just once over that span. Oddsmakers have the Patriots as comfortable +110 favourites to capture the AFC championship yet again, and +300 – just ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles at +450 – to win the Super Bowl.
