Cowboys vs. Panthers Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction

Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season includes a showdown in the NFC between the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

Dallas improved to 2-2-1 with a blowout of the Jets this past weekend. Carolina comes in with a 2-3 record after winning two of its last three contests.

The Cowboys have completely dominated this head-to-head matchup. They are riding a three-game winning streak over the Panthers and have won 12 of the last 15 meetings. These two teams faced each other in Carolina each of the past two years; Dallas rolled to a 33-10 victory in 2023 and cruised 30-14 last season.

Dallas is a 3-point favourite to win on the NFL odds, with the total pegged at 49.5.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Dallas is 6-3 against the spread in its last nine games dating back to the 2024 campaign. The head-to-head also favours the Cowboys, who are 3-0 ATS in the last three encounters and 5-2 ATS in the last seven. The over is 3-1 in Dallas’ last four overall, 7-2 in Carolina’s last nine and 2-0-1 in the last three head-to-head.

In addition to the more traditional lines, the first-quarter spread is -0.5 in Dallas’ favour and the first-half spread is -2.5. On the prop betting front, Cowboys running back Javonte Williams has the best chance to score a touchdown according to the odds at -200. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (+155) is the most likely Panthers player to find the end zone.

Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb was expected to miss around a month when the star receiver suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Bears. However, the Oklahoma product has been doing limited work in recent practices and is currently assigned a questionable tag. There is a real chance that Lamb could be back on Sunday.

Especially if Lamb remains sidelined, Williams should be in line for a big day at the office. The former North Carolina standout has already rushed 79 times for 447 yards and five touchdowns this season. He may have the backfield all to himself this weekend, as fellow RB Miles Sanders is questionable. Williams now faces a Panthers defence that is top 10 league-wide against the pass but is giving up 4.5 yards per carry.

Carolina Panthers

Will the real Panthers please stand up? Head coach Dave Canales’ crew has been all over the place in 2025. It started 0-2, walloped the Falcons 30-0, went into New England and got destroyed by the Patriots 42-13 and most recently took care of the visiting Dolphins 27-24.

Applying pressure on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will be of utmost importance. Prescott is playing at an MVP level right now and Dallas has scored the fourth-most points in the NFL (151). If he is free to sit back and relax in the pocket, Carolina’s defence will be in trouble. The Panthers are tied for last in the entire NFL with only five sacks through five weeks.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Cowboys vs. Panthers?

This matchup is difficult to project, as these are two of the most mercurial teams in the NFL. You never know what you are going to get from either one on any given day.

That being said, Dallas should have the edge. Prescott is much more reliable and consistent signal-caller compared to Bryce Young, plus he is playing behind a far superior offensive line. A total of 49.5 calls for a relatively high-scoring affair, and it’s hard to see Carolina having the offensive firepower to keep up with Dallas in a shootout. The Cowboys should win this one, 30-24.
