Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers
Point Spread: Cowboys -5.5
Date: Oct. 22, 4:05 PM ET
Location: Levi’s Stadium – Santa Clara, California
Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Cowboys opened as 6-point away favourites with the over/under line set at 47 on the Sports Interaction odds board.
Dallas played at San Fran in Week 4 last season and was only a 1-point favourite. The Cowboys haven’t given this many points in an away game since Week 9 in 2016 when they were 7-point chalk at the Cleveland Browns. Dallas won and covered in that game 35-10.
Despite an 0-6 record, the Niners sport a profitable 4-2 mark against the spread. San Francisco is the first team in NFL history to lose five straight games by three or fewer points.
The Cowboys are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall while the Niners are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games at Levi’s Stadium. The under is 12-3 in Dallas’ last 15 road games and 18-7 in San Fran’s last 25 home games. Nearly 80 percent of Sports Interaction bettors expect the Cowboys to cover as 5.5-point away chalk.

Dallas Cowboys
Ezekiel Elliott will not be available for the Cowboys this weekend after a court of appeals denied a motion to allow Elliot to play until he had a chance for a rehearing. The NFL suspended second year running back for six games at the start of this season due to a domestic violence incident in the summer of 2016.
Dallas will turn to former Washington Redskins No. 1 running back Alfred Morris for its ground attack against the Niners with Elliott out. The Cowboys average seven rushing first downs per game – good for the fourth-highest rate in the league.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are switching things up at the quarterback position. Veteran signal caller Brian Hoyer was benched during last week’s loss to the Washington Redskins and the Niners seem to have liked what they saw from C.J. Beathard, who completed 19 of his 36 pass attempts for 245 yards and a touchdown.
Beathard, a third round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, was a two-year starter at Iowa finished his collegiate career with 40 touchdown passes and 19 interceptions along with a 58.1 pass completion percentage.
