Colts vs. Commanders NFL Week 4 Betting Odds, Picks: QB Marcus Mariota Starting in London
The Washington Commanders will be missing Jayden Daniels when they travel to London on Sunday morning to take on the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 4 betting action at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Commanders star quarterback has been hobbled by a dislocated left elbow that forced him to miss last week’s 33-31 win over Seattle, setting the stage for veteran Marcus Mariota to make a second straight start.
The Colts arrive in London looking to build on their first win of the season, a 19-17 victory over Houston, which put the brakes on an epic nine-game losing streak, and have failed to post a win away from Lucas Oil Stadium in almost a year.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends
With Daniels on the shelf, the Colts have emerged as 4-point favourites on the NFL Week 4 odds. The Commanders are designated as the home team in the first NFL London game of the campaign and are listed as +170 underdogs on the NFL moneyline. The total is pegged at 48.5.
The Commanders eked out a narrow 17-16 victory when these teams last met four years ago in Indianapolis. With that victory, Washington snapped a four-game head-to-head losing streak, which featured a trio of defeats by double-digit margins.
The Colts have covered three times over that stretch, with one push, while Washington has covered six of its past 10 overall. But overall, the Commanders have been the more reliable bet, going 5-2 ATS in their past seven overall. Indy has gone just 5-5 ATS during the team’s 1-9 SU swoon, which has featured a pair of outright losses as betting chalk.
NFL Player Odds and Props
Jonathan Taylor is worth backing on the NFL player props as a -115 bet to compile UNDER 90.5 rushing yards. Taylor has carried 66 times for 258 yards through three games for an average of just 3.9 yards per rush, and faces a Washington’s defence that has been most effective against the rush.
Terry McLaurin’s +225 anytime touchdown odds are attractive. McLaurin developed instant chemistry with Mariota last week, pulling in six of nine targets for 77 yards and one TD, and remains Washington’s most dangerous downfield receiver regardless of who is under centre.
Indianapolis Colts
Daniel Jones has steadily increased his passing production through three games, and has thrown exactly one touchdown and one interception in each game, illustrating both the stability and limitations Indianapolis has received at quarterback.
Jonathan Taylor returned to full practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday. Keenan Allen was limited Thursday because of a groin injury rather than rest, which is more significant than Wednesday’s designation. Ashton Dulin returned to full practice after missing more than two weeks, while Akeem Davis-Gaither was also upgraded to full participation.
Washington Commanders
With Jayden Daniels ruled out, Marcus Mariota will make his second straight start. The former second overall pick rose to the occasion with three TD passes in last week’s upset win over Seattle despite completing just 19 of 31 passes, and has now connected for multiple scores in four of seven starts since the beginning of last season.
Rachaad White missed both Wednesday and Thursday practices because of a shoulder injury, putting his availability in doubt. Austin Ekeler could be in for a bigger assignment if White cannot play, with Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Kaytron Allen also available.
Chig Okonkwo and Frankie Luvu remained limited Thursday, while Percy Butler and Amik Robertson improved to full participation. Sam Cosmi and Nick Cross have already been ruled out and did not travel to London.
