Cardinals vs. Seahawks Point Spread: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction

Arizona’s last in a competitive NFC West, but despite their 3-5 record this still is a huge opportunity for them to make ground against the division-leading Seahawks. Arizona’s coming off a convincing 27-17 victory at Dallas last Monday and could ride this momentum with Jacoby Brissett under centre and Kyler Murray now on the injured reserve and out for at least four games.

Meanwhile, Seattle’s established themselves as a contender in the NFC. At 6-3 they lead the division and it’s tough to argue they’ve had a more impressive win than last week’s 38-14 beatdown at Washington. Seattle’s now +150 to win the NFC West, just behind the LA Rams.

Kickoff at Lumen Field goes at 4:05 p.m. EST with the Seahawks a 6.5-point favourite and the over-under at 45.5 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

It’s been Seattle dominance when these two teams meet, as the Seahawks enter this weekend with an eight-game win streak over the Cardinals. That extends to covering the spread too — Arizona is just 1-7 ATS in their last eight meetings with Seattle. But the Cardinals have covered in five straight outings, which is useful for betters only as Arizona finally snapped a five-game losing skid last week. One of those losses was to Seattle in Week 4, a 23-20 walk-off victory for the Seahawks. The under has hit in six straight Cardinals–Seahawks games played in Seattle.

One of the most surprising storylines this season is Sam Darnold emerging as a legitimate MVP candidate, despite being cast away by Minnesota in the off-season. Darnold is currently +2500 to win MVP, but there’s now fewer than 10 candidates ahead of him on the list. And if the Seahawks keep winning… crazier things have happened in this league than a Darnold MVP.

Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray’s foot injury isn’t deemed season-ending, but it is going to keep the starting quarterback out at least another four games. It’s not stopping Arizona’s offence from producing though as Jacoby Brissett filled in on Monday and delivered a double-digit win at Dallas. Brissett finished with 261 yards and two touchdowns on the night, finding a real connection with Marvin Harrison Jr. in the process. Harrison Jr.’s 96 yards led all receivers, and he also found the end zone for the first time in five games.

The Cardinals defence has done enough to keep them in games of late. Over the five-game losing streak, Arizona’s defence allowed over 23 points twice. The Cardinals defence ranks just outside the top 10 in points allowed. Leading tackler Mack Wilson Sr. was a non participant on Wednesday with a ribs injury and would be a big loss on defence — keep an eye out for his status.

Seattle Seahawks

It looks easy for the Seattle Seahawks offence these days. And the rich is getting richer as they acquired a deep threat receiver in Rashid Shaheed during Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. Shaheed comes to the Seattle receiving corps at a good time as veteran Cooper Kupp (heel/hamstring) missed last week and did not participate in this week’s opening practice. The presence of Shaheed should also take some attention off Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is officially a star wideout in this league with a league-best 948 receiving yards — 117 ahead of anyone else.

The icing on the cake is Seattle’s defence is playing some high-level football too. The Seahawks have allowed fewer than 20 points in each of their last three wins. Seattle’s 18.8 points against per game ranks fifth in the NFL, and they’re third with 4.7 yards allowed per play. Ernest Jones has been a standout all season, leading the team with 65 tackles to go with three interceptions.
