The Kansas City Chiefs have strung together three straight wins since their lone loss of the year to improve to 8-1 on the season. They shouldn’t have any problem extending their win streak in Week 10. Kansas City will be a 16.5-point favourite when it hosts the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. Arizona is coming off a win before its bye week but is stuck at 2-6. The Cardinals have never won before in Kansas City. There is no reason to expect that to change this week.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Arizona is 0-4-1 all-time in five games played in Kansas City. Surprisingly, the Cardinals have done an excellent job against the spread despite their 2-6 record heading in to Week 10. Arizona is 4-1-1 against the spread since Week 3. They will be getting plenty of coverage on the line this week as 16.5-point favorites on the road.

That is because no team has been better against the spread this season than the Chiefs. Kansas City is 8-1 straight up and 8-1 against the spread so far this season. The Chiefs haven’t lost at home yet with a 4-0 record at Arrowhead Stadium to begin the season. There is a good chance that undefeated run continues against the Cardinals in Week 10.

Arizona Cardinals

Rookie quarterback Josh Rosen delivered an inspired performance with 252 yards and two touchdowns to lead Arizona to an 18-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers in their last game. Coming off the bye week, there isn’t much he and the Cardinals offence will be able to do to prepare for Kansas City. Arizona ranks 31st in the NFL with an average of 165.8 passing yards per game and 32nd in the league with an average of 67.5 rushing yards per game. A broken offence that has averaged just 13.8 point per game has put even more pressure on a capable defence that has been overwhelmed by what it has been asked to do. That will likely be the case again this week against a Chiefs offence that leads the NFL with an average of 36.3 points per game this season.

Kansas City Chiefs

It’s hard to put in to perspective what Patrick Mahomes has done this season because no quarterback in NFL history has ever done it before. Mahomes has thrown for 2,901 yards and 29 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions. If he continues at this pace, he will break the all-time record for touchdowns in a single season. Meanwhile, running back Kareem Hunt has handled his business on the ground with 683 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in addition to his 312 receiving yards and six receiving scores. With the offence firing on all cylinders, even the best opponents have struggled to keep up with Kansas City. It’s hard to imagine this team letting up at all against the Cardinals in front of a home crowd that has paid to see their record-setting offence in flight. The Chiefs should have no problem winning and covering at Arrowhead Stadium to improve to 9-1 on the season.
