Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn is still scratching his head after losing a gimme of a game in the dying seconds last week to Denver. Meanwhile, in the 2018 Who Cares Bowl, the Cardinals lost on a last second field goal to the Oakland Raiders. The Cards now find themselves with a rare road-home game at the always-visiting fan filled StubHub Center.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The LA Chargers are favoured in this one by -11.5, which you’d think would be a slam-dunk – well, not so fast. Philip Rivers and his staff have been notorious through the years for having one game ruin their season. One loss that completely turns the tides and the veteran QB’s mental lapse last week may have just been the back breaker.

This is not to say that they’ll lose this game, but the spread may be in jeopardy. The Chargers are just 4-9-1 in their last 15 ATS following a straight up loss.

Arizona Cardinals

The visiting Arizona Cardinals have not had a sharp season. However, they have had some bright spots in the form of their young bloods. Josh Rosen has shown a few signs of life, while Christian Kirk looks like he could one day fill the shows of guaranteed Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald.

Outside of those two, the spotlights have been hard to find. Their defense is allowing the fourth highest rush yards per game average at 141.5 and they’re also surrendering the second most rush touchdowns per game at 1.3 a week.

Los Angeles Chargers

Arizona only has one road win this season and enters this game having given up the fifth most first quarter points on average. If the Chargers want to get moving in this one, they’ll have to hit the board early and conveniently that’s an area they’ve excelled in this season.

They’re tied for third in the league in opening quarter points averaging 6.4 although their red zone efficiency at home has been lackluster. They’re currently tied for 16th with Buffalo while playing at home and inside their opponent’s 20. The Chargers are the better team on paper, but will need a few quick scores to put their week 11 memories to bed.
