Cardinals vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction
Arizona just lost their third straight game and fifth out of their last six overall. Meanwhile, the Broncos lost their fifth straight game and ninth out of their last 10th. Which of these two massively struggling teams can rise above their injuries and get a win?
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Cardinals are 5-1 ATS in their past six games when coming off an ATS defeat and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against teams with a losing record on the year. As for the total, the under has cashed out in six out of their last eight games played on the road. Unfortunately, though, Arizona is just 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings against the Broncos.
Flipping over to the Broncos, they are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games played at home against teams with a losing road record on the year. They are also 1-5 ATS against teams with a losing record. The under has looked good in Broncos games this season as it’s hit in 10 out of their last 12 games following an ATS victory and five out of their last six games at home.
Arizona Cardinals
There’s been an awful lot of distractions off the field for the Cardinals all season long. Rumors about Kyler Murray not watching film, head coach Kliff Kingsbury on the hot seat, and the two of them not getting along is just the tip of the iceberg. To make matters worse, Murray suffered a torn ACL in their Monday Night Football defeat to the New England Patriots and is now out for the season.
Murray’s absence leaves the team with the veteran backup Colt McCoy. McCoy has started a few games already with Murray out with a previous injury. He’s thrown for 702 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions across three games. Unfortunately, the team has lost every one of those games that he’s started. Arizona can stay afloat with McCoy, but they still aren’t very consistent. They’ll be in tough against a Broncos defense that is fourth in points per game allowed.
Denver Broncos
Just like Arizona, the Broncos had sky-high expectations to start the year. Many were labeling them as Super Bowl contenders in the offseason but they’ve been nowhere near that as they have the second-worst record in football. The poor play of Russell Wilson has been a factor. Wilson suffered a concussion in the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and has since been listed as questionable. The league’s new concussion protocols make it hard to believe that he’ll be ready to go here but he’s not been ruled out yet.
Wilson or not, Denver just can’t score points. This group has scored over 16 points just three times all season long. Despite having numerous weapons to throw the football to and a solid offensive line, they just aren’t getting the job done.
