The Cardinals are coming into this one after a close one in Florida which they dropped 30-27 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But it was their opponent this Sunday who made big news by losing a football game. The previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers lost their first of the season to the Seattle Seahawks, falling 27-24 to Russell Wilson and company in a nail-biter of a game that ended in overtime.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These two teams met just a couple of weeks ago, and it was a closer game than most thought it would be. In the last quarter of the game, the Cards rallied to get 11 points and within three points of the 49ers, only to lose 28-25. The Cardinals covered in that game.

The 49ers lead the all-time regular season series against Arizona 30-26, but when San Fran won that one in late October, it was the first time they’d beaten Arizona in their last eight matchups against them.

The Cardinals are 3-6-1 overall, 0-2 against NFC West opponents and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games. The 49ers are 8-1 overall and are 5-4 against the spread in their last 10.

Arizona Cardinals

After that soul-crushing loss to the the Bucs last week, Arizona’s 3-6-1 record makes it clear that this is a team on the brink of postseason elimination. Even though they’re playing an injured San Francisco side that just played on Monday, it’s tough to see a way for the Cardinals to get a win in this one. That said, don’t be surprised if they manage to cover that 10.5-point spread.

In that loss to the Bucs, QB Kyler Murray looked great and passed for 324 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. He also had three carries for 38 yards. Early naysayers about the young QB have to be marching back any talk about him being too diminutive for a starting quarterback, as he currently boasts the 14th-best Total QBR in the league this season.

San Francisco 49ers

Jimmy G and his team will most definitely try to get over that loss to the Seahawks on Monday when they host the Arizona Cardinals. That game on Monday Night Football was one of the most exciting ones so far this season. Garoppolo never quite looked comfortable in the pocket and it was very clear that he was struggling without tight end George Kittle on the field. He was relying a lot on Emmanuel Sanders in Kittle’s absence, until Sanders had to leave the game with an injury. The Seahawks jumped on that opportunity by shutting down the 49er run game and forcing Garoppolo to throw to some unreliable targets.

There was some buzz that Kittle would be available for this week’s game but at a conference earlier this week, Kyle Shanahan told reporters that Kittle will likely not be available and that his team is preparing for the game with a plan that accounts for Kittle’s absence.
