Brady had missed Tampa Bay’s first two pre-season games which resulted in consecutive losses. On the other side, the Colts are expected to play their starters for about the entire first half Saturday.

Tampa Bay’s got the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season at +485. Indianapolis is the betting favourite in the AFC South at -135, but +1605 to win it all.

Kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium goes at 7:30 p.m. EDT, with the home Colts 5.5-point favourites and the over-under pegged at 40.5 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Both clubs are winless in the pre-season thus far, with the two Colts games going over the total and Tampa Bay splitting their two when it comes to the over-under. Indianapolis has lost their two games by a combined four points, allowing 27 points in both losses.

Head-to-head, Tampa Bay has managed to cover in just one of their last seven meetings with Indianapolis. The Colts meanwhile are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six outings on a Saturday, so the trends are lining up in their favour this weekend.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Second-year pivot Kyle Trask once again got the majority of reps under centre for Tampa Bay last weekend and finished with a mediocre 105 yards and one interception on 24 attempts in a 13-3 loss at Tennessee.

The Bucs continued to rest the likes of their key guys, namely Mike Evans and Julio Jones on offence and then all of Shaq Barrett, Lavonte David, Antoine Winfield Jr., and Vita Vea on defence. Nothing is confirmed by head coach Todd Bowles, but reports say Tampa Bay is expected to dress their starters for the first half in Indianapolis — something to monitor closer to kickoff.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are expected to dress new starting quarterback Matt Ryan again Saturday, this time his first appearance in front of the home crowd. Ryan went six of 10 for 58 yards in Buffalo in Week 1 of pre-season action. Reigning NFL rushing champion Jonathan Taylor should dress too, which would mark his first game action alongside Ryan.

Sam Ehlinger has got the majority of reps under centre for Indianapolis this pre-season and has four touchdown passes to go with zero interceptions and 224 passing yards thus far. Ehlinger hit Dezmon Patmon and Mike Strachan for scores last week in a 27-26 loss to Detroit.
