The Browns have reeled off three consecutive victories to move to within a game of the sixth-place log jam in the conference – and one of those teams in the mix is Pittsburgh, which is coming off a 16-10 win over the Bengals and is 6-2 in its last eight following an 0-3 start.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Steelers’ home-field advantage – not to mention their weeks-long hot streak – wasn’t enough to sway oddsmakers from making Cleveland a road favourite for just the fourth time since the 2014 season; the Browns are 1-2 SU and ATS in their previous three instances, most recently dropping a 24-19 decision in Denver at -4. The Steelers, meanwhile, have been a strong cover option of late, going 7-2 ATS in their previous nine games.

Don’t expect much scoring in this one, at least according to Vegas. The total of 39 is the lowest these teams have seen since December 2017, and marks the fourth time in the past five head-to-head meetings that the sides have had a total of 41 or lower. The Browns are 4-1-1 O/U in their last six games against divisional opponents, while the Over has cashed in four of the last five meetings in Pittsburgh. But the Steelers have converted five Unders in their last six games.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns are looking for a season sweep of the Steelers following a 21-7 home win in Week 11 that was marred by a helmet-swinging incident that landed DE Myles Garrett an indefinite suspension. But Cleveland did well to put the incident behind it, rolling to a 41-24 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 12 for its first three-game winning streak since Weeks 14-16 of last season. The Browns finished that game with an impressive 467-283 yardage advantage.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are aching for revenge after what happened in Cleveland two weeks ago – but they’ve moved on from the guy at the center of their Week 11 melee. Quarterback Mason Rudolph, who was hit in the head by his own helmet courtesy Garrett, will head to the bench in favour of Devlin Hodges after struggling mightily in last week’s win over Cincinnati (8-16, 85 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT). Hodges is 27-of-40 for 318 yards with two TDs and an INT in 2019.
