Browns vs. Eagles Point Spread: NFL Pre-Season Week 2 Odds, Prediction
The defending Super Bowl champions continue to get into game shape after a shorter offseason, while the rebuilding Browns grow out their organizational depth and talent.
These teams help kick off a busy Saturday of 11 games that should bring exciting preseason action. Both teams won their first preseason game last week and will be looking to go 2-0 and build some momentum. Check out the latest odds on this game at Sports Interaction.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
These teams are obviously at very different levels of talent, as Philadelphia heads into this season a Super Bowl contender, while Cleveland comes in with minimal expectations. However, with it being preseason, the NFL odds are set tighter, with the Eagles being a 4.5-point favourite.
On the money line, the Eagles come in at a value of -205, with the underdog Browns landing at +170. The game totals are set at 37 points, which is one of the lower totals of the week.
Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns organization has not seen the playoffs consistently in a while, and with a 3-14 record last year, many changes are needed after their worst record since 2017, when they were 0-16.
With that being said, they had a busy offseason and it is time for their new influx of players to show what they can do for this team. A 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers last week was a great start, but this is the next challenge.
After grabbing multiple QBs this offseason in some surprising moves, Cleveland has a deep quarterback room full of familiar names. Will that be enough on the road against the Eagles?
Philadelphia Eagles
Winning a Super Bowl is the ultimate prize, but it makes for a much quicker offseason. However, the Eagles did not look out of place after winning their Week 1 preseason matchup 34-27.
Head coach Nick Sirianni and staff have the team in game shape, and with such a winning culture right now, the players know they need to show up ready to play.
The team overall is banged up after a long season, so there is ample opportunity for new players to make their mark on the team. That brings importance to these preseason games.
NFL Preseason Prediction: Who Will Win Browns vs. Eagles?
As the preseason rolls along, more cuts get made, leaving more talent and starters on the field. That is the expectation for this Week 2 preseason game as well, and as we know, the Eagles boast the better talent overall.
An Eagles crew with no starters was able to drop 34 points in Week 1 against the Bengals, with the offence firing on all cylinders. I expect the same from them in this game. This is Cleveland’s second straight road game, which won’t help as far as freshness goes. All things considered, I’m banking on a comfortable victory for Philly in a somewhat high-scoring battle, with the final score likely in the region of 28-16 to the Eagles.
