Browns vs. Bengals Point Spread: NFL Week 14 Odds, Prediction

Cincinnati will be looking to keep the momentum going after back-to-back wins over divisional-leaders Tennessee and Kansas City these past two weeks, putting the Bengals atop the AFC North at 8-4. Cleveland’s fighting for their playoff lives at 5-7 but are on a two-game win streak.

Cleveland also took the first meeting between these AFC North clubs this season, a 32-13 win back at home on Halloween. The Browns nearly doubled the Bengals in yards in the victory with a 440-229 advantage.

Kickoff at Paycor Stadium starts at 1 p.m. EST, with Cincinnati a six-point favourite on home field and the total listed at 47 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Browns own a five-game win streak versus the Bengals, and have also won eight of their last 10 meetings. Head-to-head, the over is also on a 6-0 run in the last six Browns–Bengals contests played in Cincinnati. The under has also hit in only four of Cleveland’s 12 road games this season.

The Bengals have been one of the NFL’s best squads against the spread this year, covering in nine of their 12 outings. Cincinnati’s covered in eight of their last home games too, and then also in 13 of their last 15 games versus the AFC. Head-to-head, Cleveland struggles ATS versus the Bengals too with covers in four of their last 16 games against the Bengals.

Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson’s Browns debut was by all means a failure, as he completed 12 passes for 131 yards as Cleveland’s offence generated six points. Instead the Browns got a punt return touchdown from Donovan Peoples-Jones, a scoop and score from Denzel Ward, and pick-six from Tony Fields II. The Browns rushed the ball for 174 yards in their 13-point win, and are still fourth in rushing yards but how Watson performs in a big moment Sunday is what matters.

Ward also missed practice Wednesday with an ankle injury and illness, while tight end David Njoku was limited with a knee injury. Njoku did not play at Houston and is Cleveland’s third leading receiver with 464 yards on the year.

Cincinnati Bengals

Running back Joe Mixon was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice after sitting out the last two Bengals wins with a concussion. With Mixon out, Cincinnati got two strong games from replacement Samaje Perine including a 155-yard game against Kansas City last weekend. Cincinnati stepped up in the fourth quarter last weekend, outscoring Kansas City 10-0 in the final frame with a Chris Evans touchdown reception from Joe Burrow the winning score.

Burrow’s now second in the NFL with 3,446 passing yards and now with the third-best odds to take home NFL MVP honours. The third-year quarterback has played a massive role in the Bengals ranking in the top five in yards (372.4 per game) and top seven in points (26 per game).
